Joe Paterno Press Conference: Live Coverage and Reaction
Joe Paterno will hold his weekly press conference today. It is slated to begin around 12:20 p.m. ET and the Penn State media department has already told everybody involved that the Jerry Sandusky scandal will not be addressed. Instead, only football questions have been encouraged (via Boston Herald).
With so many questions still floating around about Paterno's involvement (or lack thereof) in Sandusky's transgressions, it's almost a guarantee that football will not be the central focus of today's questioning. That will lead to some awkward moments for the long-time coach.
He's likely been prepped for the conference, so fireworks are not expected. However, Paterno has always been one to speak his mind, so anything is possible.
