WWE Raw Preview: What Will Happen Next as Survivor Series Draws Closer?

For the past couple of weeks, WWE Monday Night Raw has been very lackluster. That’s quite disappointing from a company who had a hell of a summer.

With Survivor Series on the horizon, WWE may very well be stepping up their game. While nothing is completely confirmed as of this writing for tonight, we can guess what may happen from what happened last week.

The Rock and John Cena vs. Awesome Truth is Set. What Happens Next?

Raw kicked off last week with a taped message from The Rock. He first berated John Cena in classic Rock fashion but ultimately accepted the offer of teaming up to face Awesome Truth.

The Rock won’t be on Raw tonight, but will appear next week on a special three hour show.

Cena got the upper hand on Awesome Truth last week. He defeated The Miz in the main event, then took out R-Truth, who attacked post-match dressed as ghost face. Awesome Truth will no doubt be looking for revenge tonight. .

Can John Cena continue to outsmart The Miz and R-Truth or will his lack of partner be his downfall?

Beth Phoenix Responds to Eve Being No.1 Contender

Last week we saw a Halloween tradition. The Divas competed in the Halloween costume battle royal, but there was some added incentive this time.

The winner was to become the No.1 contender for Beth Phoenix’s WWE Divas Championship.

Eve managed to win the match and will now challenge Beth for the title once again.

Last month at Vengeance, Eve failed in her quest to take the title off of the Glamazon. At the same time, though, Eve gave her one hell of a fight.

How will Beth Phoenix respond to having to face Eve again, especially if she still has that fire?

The Returns of Kevin Nash and Brodus Clay

After Kevin Nash took out Triple H, it was announced that interim Raw general manager John Laurinaitis signed Nash to a new contract. Will we see Big Sexy on the show tonight, and if so, what will he have to say?  

Brodus Clay on the other hand will be on Raw tonight.

For weeks we’ve seen video after video hyping up the fact that he’s a monster. He was only beating up jobbers and local talent, but he’s a monster nonetheless.

Last week, it was announced that Clay would be returning tonight after being the lackey and muscle of Alberto Del Rio over on SmackDown earlier this year.

Who will be Brodus Clay’s first victim?

The Michael Cole Challenge

Last week we were supposed to see Michael Cole vs. Jim Ross in some kind of challenge.

If Cole won, Ross would never be able to come back to Monday Night Raw. If J.R. won, though, he’d get his seat at the announce booth back and Cole would quit the WWE forever.

The match was postponed due to Jim Ross being “sick,” thus giving Michael Cole more fuel to make fun of the hall of famer.

Will we see the Michael Cole Challenge happen tonight?

Alberto Del Rio Responds to Being Forced Into Giving CM Punk A Title Shot

CM Punk has had to jump through hoops to get his WWE Title match with Ablerto Del Rio.

Two weeks ago, John Laurinaitis made him show him respect. In true Punk fashion he joked around and belittled the executive vice-president of talent relations/interim Raw general manager. So Laurinaitis told him he could have his shot, if he defeated Mark Henry.

Last week, Punk was unable to defeat the World’s Strongest Man thanks to Del Rio ordering Ricardo Rodriguez to interfere. Laurinaitis showed some compassion and told Punk that if Del Rio gave him a shot then he could have it.

After a great match with the Big Show, Del Rio was knocked out cold. Punk proceeded to lock in the anaconda vice and forced him to give him the shot.

How will Alberto Del Rio respond to being forced into defending his title against CM Punk?
