Terrell Owens: Enigmatic Wideout Needs NFL to Pay All His Child Support

Donald WoodNov 7, 2011

Terrell Owens needs the NFL more than the NFL needs Owens, and TO’s financial crisis means he really needs the NFL and their heavy-duty paychecks.

According to court reports released with the bench warrant for the arrest of Terrell Owens for his failure to appear at his child support case, Owens pays an estimated $44,602 a month to baby mamas.

That’s absolutely insane for most people who fail to make that in a whole year, but for a man used to making millions upon millions of dollars, it's chump change.

That's until the well dries up.

"

He has tried to keep paying all of these mothers what they were used to year after year, basically putting himself into a financial crisis. He has always paid his child support payments and loves his kids.

"

With TO out of work, the women still want their money and Owens is running out of cash to hand them. Owens has been forced to change his income to zero ($0) on all of his tax documents and court documents.

I am still very surprised no team in the NFL has found it worthy to bring him in as just a temporary solution at wideout. The team would have to have a very strong leadership group, but a team like the Pittsburgh Steelers, who are hurting at wide receiver, could look to Owens as a temporary fix.

Owens deserves to lie in the bed he made, and expect a similar article when no team wants to sign Antonio Cromartie as well. That man will be playing in the NFL until he is 61 years old.
