BCS Ranking 2011: Oklahoma State Will Grab Permanent Spot in BCS Title Game

With Alabama's home loss to LSU in the No. 1 vs No. 2 matchup, the Cowboys will presumably grab the No. 2 spot in the BCS. They have Texas Tech, Iowa State and Oklahoma left on their schedule.

The only real test should be the Sooners, but with their recent rash of injuries (Dominic Whaley and Ryan Broyles are both out for the season), they may not be able to keep pace with the Cowboys offense. The Sooners defense will surely be the toughest defensive unit the Cowboys have faced, but they have the type of firepower that can score on anyone.

The Cowboys will be at home, and they will hand the Sooners their second loss of the season. That victory will ensure that they hold on to the No. 2 spot in the BCS they seem certain to get on Sunday night.

The Cowboys have been ignored a bit amidst the talk about LSU, Alabama, Oklahoma and even Stanford. The Cowboys have quietly answered every challenge: Kansas State, Texas and Texas A&M, all ranked.

They have benefited from flying under the radar now they will have one huge game to win in the final week of the regular season. They will not have a Big 12 championship game to falter in; that helps them, but hurts the Sooners chances.

Everything has worked out perfect for the Cowboys; now they will ride their mature, seasoned QB Brandon Weedun and their awesomely gifted WR Justin Blackmon into the title game.
