NFL Week 9 Predictions: Teams Who Will Bounce Back After Week 8

Mick AkersNov 5, 2011

Nothing feels better for a team than to comeback strong and win after a tough loss.

Here are the three teams who will end the losing blues, as they bounce back and win in their Week 9 matchups.

New England Patriots

After a loss to fellow AFC heavyweights, the Pittsburgh Steelers, the New England Patriots will be ready to get back to their winning ways against the NFC East-leading New York Giants.

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady will torch the Giants defense, which has been good against the pass so far this year.

With all the injuries to the Giants, don't expect much from them offensively, as the Pats should coast to an easy win.

Prediction: New England Patriots 35, New York Giants 13

New Orleans Saints

The New Orleans Saints enter Week 9 off a shocking upset loss to the down-and-out St. Louis Rams.

Look for the Saints to bounce back and take care of the more than capable Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Saints quarterback Drew Brees  should come out on point and torch the 26th-ranked Bucs pass defense.

Also look for Darren Sproles to have a big game, as rookie running back Mark Ingram is out this week.

Prediciton: New Orleans Saints 31, Tampa Bay Buccaneers 13

Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys were embarrassed in their Week 8 Sunday Night Football matchup, as the Philadelphia Eagles won 35-7, leaving a confused Cowboys team reeling.

Look for a perfect bounce-back opportunity this week against the NFC bottom feeders, the Seattle Seahawks.

Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo will come out with a purpose and will have his two big weapons running up and down the field, as wideouts Dez Bryant and Miles Austin should have huge games.

Look for rookie standout running back DeMarco Murray to rush for 100 yards after managing 74 yards on just eight carries last week.

Prediction: Dallas Cowboys 31, Seattle Seahawks 10
