Pacquiao vs. Marquez: Why JMM Made a Mistake Riling Up Pac-Man

Mick AkersNov 5, 2011

Manny Pacquiao has been known to take each fight as a business decision, and not try to be too emotionally involved, but after Juan Manuel Marquez called out Pacquiao in front of fans in the Philippines, Pac-Man is taking this fight personally.

Marquez took the opportunity of their upcoming fight's press conference in Pacquiao's home country of the Philippines to call out Pacquiao, and say how he was robbed in their first two fights.

Pacquiao has since been training harder than he ever has, according to his trainer Freddie Roach.

Marquez went to the Philippines and tried to embarrass Manny that (he) got robbed (in the first two fights), Roach Said. It was an instant spark for Manny in this training camp I feel. Manny's had a great training camp and I've never seen Manny as motivated as I have for this fight.

"

Marquez getting Manny on a level we may never have seen him on before is a grave mistake and just another part of this fight that is not in his favor.

Marquez is making the jump up to welterweight to take on Pacquiao, a weight class that Pacquiao has been in for some time now, and is very comfortable fighting in.

Look for Pacquiao to be the heavier fighter the day of the fight, as he should put on a few pounds after the weigh-in the day before the fight.

The riling up of Pacquiao will be the ultimate factor in this rubber match, motivating Pac-Man to be out for blood, something that he is not known for doing.

Marquez, beware.
