NFL Picks Week 9: Teams That Will Cruise to Easy Victories

Andrew KulhaNov 5, 2011

It's extremely hard to obtain a win in today's NFL, especially since most, if not all, of the teams are so evenly matched.

That's why it's so important for teams to get easy wins when they can, which means every opportunity matters.

If an NFL team can get ahead early on and throw it into cruise control it can literally impact their season for weeks to come.

Not only can they rest players, they can also have the ability to take a good look at their depth chart, as well as work on new plays.

We've seen the inverse of that happen before though, so not all blowouts are good news.

It's easy for a team to get sluggish and complacent.

Needless to say, there is a fine balance when it comes to winning.

Here are a few teams that look set up to have an easy win this NFL weekend.

Dallas Cowboys

You never know with the Cowboys, but they should be up for an easy win against the Seahawks at home. Truthfully, they desperately need a win here. This may be the best shot they have.

Tony Romo should be able to play well against a pretty bad Seattle secondary. "Should" being the key word. Like I said, you never know with the Cowboys.

Atlanta Falcons

There will never be a week in 2011 where I pick the Indianapolis Colts to win a game, and this week remains the same.

The Falcons need every win they can get in a very competitive NFC South, and with New Orleans and Tampa Bay squaring off, they have a chance to make up some ground,

Green Bay Packers

The collapse has already begun for the San Diego Chargers, which is a sad but true statement. This game will be a case of momentum.

The Packers are coming off their bye week and are undefeated, while the Chargers are coming off a demoralizing loss to a rival on the road.

The Packers are far too good to falter here, and now they are rested.
