Breeders Cup 2011 Start Time: Friday Filled to Brim with Filly Action

Trust me, any colt that read that headline immediately clicked to find out where all the young horse ladies are hanging out on Friday. If they happen to be world-class sprinters, they will be at Churchill Downs for the Breeders Cup, and you can watch the run. 

The Breeders Cup is far from a one-off race. It is more of a festival celebrating the equine sport. On Friday, we get a plethora of filly races that will have you jumping up and screaming at the TV. 

Here are the various start times for the races hitting before the weekend. Please note that coverage is on ESPN2 and all times are Easter. 

4:10 p.m. Breeder's Juvenile Sprint: Secret Circle is a heavy favorite and coming from the No. 7 gate. That's like giving LeBron James a pair of Reebok Pumps, an unneeded advantage. 

4:50 p.m. Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf: This is a tightly-wound affair but European filly Elusive Kate may have a slight advantage. All the other horses will be keyed in on her funny accent. 

5:30 p.m. Sentient Jet Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint: The young fillies meet the big girls and look to get pushed around for seven furlongs. This is like Sigourney Weaver in a dead sprint with Jessica Biel, or so I imagine. 

6:50 p.m. Emirates Airline Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf: Stacelita, considered the mare holding it down on turf in North America, takes on Nahrain, an undefeated mare from the UK. This will be like the revolutionary war, with less, you know, war. 

7:30 p.m. Breeders' Cup Ladies' Classic: This is the big one, folks. If you want to get a feel for a modicum of the buzz that Saturday will bring, take a seat and watch this epic race.

As you can see, there is no reason to say there isn't anything good on TV on Friday. These ladies are throwing an wild bash you simply can't miss.
