Breeders' Cup 2011: Favorites Will Rule Races
With the 2011 Breeders’ Cup starting this weekend, it’s easy to get caught up in underdogs like Game on Dude, who is a 10/1 favorite to win the elusive $5 million prize for the Breeders' Cup Classic.
However, what you need to do is place all of your money on these three favorites, because one of these horses will win the Breeders’ Cup.
Uncle Mo: 5/2
According to Michael Buteau for Bloomberg, "Uncle Mo won last year’s Breeder’s Cup Juvenile, a 1 1/16th-mile race for 2-year-olds. He will compete against 12 horses in the 1 1/4-mile Classic on Nov. 5. The 28th Breeders’ Cup Championships, which consist of 14 races with $26 million in purses, starts Nov. 4.”
Mo has everything going for him, and he will eventually come away with the Breeders' Cup this year.
Havre de Grace: 3/1
Havre de Grace is the next best horse to put a wager on in this classic. The oddsmakers feel that de Grace has the best chance to unseat Uncle Mo for the $5 million prize.
If Havre de Grace wins, the horse will become the second filly to win the Breeders' Cup.
So You Think: 6/1
So You Think, from New Zealand, has run most of its career on grass, and this will be its first race on dirt.
However, So You Think has finished first nine times on the race's 1 1/4-mile track.
Take a wager on these three Horses, as they will prove to be worth the money.
