Breeders' Cup 2011 Picks: Which Horses Are Worth Taking a Chance On?

Horse racing is one of the hardest sports to put a wager on. One race is between a number of horses, instead of just between two teams. Your odds may be good on a particular horse, but just like in other things that you can wager on, you cannot control how that horse performs.  

It’s why you should not wager on the Breeders' Cup favorite, Uncle Mo 5/2, but on an underdog like these three horses.  

They all have a great shot to come out of nowhere to shock the field and make you a lot of money. 

Game on Dude: 10/1 

Game on Dude is running from the No. 8 post with jockey Chantal Sutherland, who is trying to become the first female jockey to win the prestigious event. But don’t take my word for it, take fellow Bleacher Report writer Gabe Zaldivar’s word.

Havre de Grace: 3/1 

Havre de Grace is second to Uncle Mo as the horse that oddsmakers like to win this event. Havre de Grace is starting at the No. 10 post and has a chance to become the second filly to win the Cup.

So You Think: 5/1 

So You Think is coming from New Zealand, with odds that can range from 5/1 to 6/1 for this race. The horse is starting at the No. 2 post with an excellent chance to get ahead early. 

These are three horses that you should bet on, as in horse racing, it’s anyone's game.
