WWE: Why CM Punk Is Headed for the Push of a Lifetime on Raw
The winds of the WWE are changing again, with CM Punk about to be given the push he had been clamoring for a few months ago.
With the "injury" to Triple H and the subsequent changes made by "interim" general manager, John Laurinaitis, it looks like Punk, who has softened his "me against the world" stance in recent weeks in light of the "conspiracy" that has overtaken the theme of the company, will be getting the push and notoriety he has been thirsting for.
He has even been more fan-friendly and fan-animated in the ring as of late in tag matches and on the mic.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
All this needs to be quelled a bit in order for this to truly be the way Punk wanted his success of additional success to follow him. Here is what I am talking about.
Survivor Series should shed more light on this continuing "saga" and the angle the WWE is trying to finally let out of the bag. Rock and John Cena will tag at Survivor Series. I think Cena takes a heel turn at the PPV. This is much like the Hulk Hogan heel-turn in WCW. It's almost too obvious.
With Cena going the way of the "devil" there is no real face to save the company unless The Rock decides to wrestle full time (which won't happen) and take on the destructive forces of evil. Much like WCW, the WWE wants to rely on one "hero"—this time an anti-hero—to win back the honor of the company.
They are setting Punk up not only for the WWE title when he faces Alberto Del Rio, but they are also setting up a changing of the guard when Punk becomes the face and Cena possibly the villain (remember, this is only speculation).
Cena making a heel change makes sense in that he told Miz and R-Truth he was "tired of seeing them act like they run the place." He never said anything about wanting to rid the company of them. He could turn and use jealousy as his motivation.
Punk, in turn, wins the World Title, hopes for some reconciliation with Triple H and they fight the good fight, maybe taking this to WrestleMania where they fight for control of the company. It could happen, but then again it could not.
Punk is in a pretty good place right now. Forget the Internet crap about his relationship with Beth Phoenix or Amy Dumas. Forget the fact he could war with Mark Henry if this does not happen and forget that if he does not win the WWE title at Survivor Series it will be the biggest non-happening since, well, Punk leaving WWE with the title after MITB and then returning three weeks later.
If the writers have mapped this out correctly, we will see the makings of a new champion and an even better anti-hero.
