New Mexico State vs. Georgia: Spread Info, Line, BCS Impact and Predictions
After losing their first two games, the Georgia Bulldogs have bounced back to win six straight. They are on the brink of entering the top 15, and a three-game home stretch gives them a solid shot of running the table from here on out en route to a great bowl game and a 10-win season.
While Auburn and Georgia Tech aren't gimme games by any means, this week's game against New Mexico State might as well be an idol week.
New Mexico State has no chance. This is going to be an ugly, one-sided matchup that won't increase Georgia's stock, but will allow them to bypass skidding teams ahead of them and take yet another step towards redemption.

Key Storyline
Will Georgia rise to the top of the SEC East standings?
With Marcus Lattimore's injury, the SEC East has been blown wide open. Essentially, if Georgia can win out, they have a chance at passing South Carolina, who fed them a loss back in Week 2. South Carolina has Arkansas, Florida and Clemson lying ahead. Surging Georgia will gain a game on the Gamecocks if everything goes as it should on Saturday.
BCS Implications
Georgia didn't sit and lick their wounds after dropping the first two games of the season. They aren't battling for a National Championship and they have no shot at winning the conference. Even so, they've put their resiliency on full display thus far and will continue to climb the rankings by making it seven straight victories.
New Mexico State Player to Watch: Matt Christian
Senior quarterback Matt Christian torched Nevada for 432 yards. The problem was that he also tossed three picks. He's proven that he can light up a secondary when given time, but he's got to be smarter with the football.
He has an 11 touchdown to 4 interception ratio on the season, but this past week was the first time he's thrown more than 40 times in a game. He's got to have a similar amount of throws without the mental mistakes in order to even have a shot at a victory.
Georgia Player to Watch: Aaron Murray
With Isaiah Crowell suspended and Richard Samuel injured, Georgia has to rely on their passing game to bail them out. Sophomore Aaron Murray has only produced one game with more interceptions than touchdowns.
He's sure with the ball and produced a 326-yard performance against Vanderbilt. He's going to have to have a similar performance to ensure the offense doesn't miss a beat with key offensive components out.
Key Matchup: New Mexico State's Offense vs. Georgia's Defense
New Mexico State is mediocre at best defensively, but their offense can really catch fire. They are outmatched on both sides of the ball, but don't be surprised to see their offense put up points on Georgia's defense.
New Mexico State puts up nearly 30 points a game and Georgia allows over 20. If Christian gets hot and Georgia gets involved in an unforeseen shootout, the Bulldogs may have an actual football game in front of them.
Prediction:
Georgia 34, New Mexico State 13
