WWE: Why Cody Rhodes and Christian Make A Great Team

Cody Rhodes has become more of a force within SmackDown and the WWE as of late.

Even if the WWE isn't consistent in how it builds up heels, it seems evident that Rhodes is getting a real shot at stardom if he continues on the same track he has been on.

He still seems like he needs a bit more polish, but Rhodes shows promise that he might just be a huge star like his father was before him.

In a different time, this might mean that he might get a manager to help mold him and evolve his character.  Unfortunately, those seem to no longer exist in the WWE.  So it might help if Rhodes got the next best thing.

A veteran tag-team partner.

Having a tag-team partner who has been around the block would not only help Rhodes grow his character and in-ring talent, but also help get over with the audience.

And Christian would be the perfect partner to do that with.

Christian is perfect at cutting promos and has had an amazing career with the WWE. He also knows what it takes to be in an incredible tag team and how to get people over. Additionally, he knows how to sell others' personas well in contrast to his.

Not to mention they compliment each other perfectly.

Right now, Rhodes is playing the disgraced heel who is psychotically unbalanced. Someone who, while strong, is not in a healthy frame of mind.

Christian is playing the whiny opportunist who doesn't mind using others to get what he wants.

It's easy to see Christian twisting Rhodes around his finger and using the young, athletic wrestler to help get him a title shot.  All the while he could be whispering words into Rhodes' ear, getting him to believe whatever Christian wants.

Rhodes might seem like a leader, but it might be easier than expected to have the wily veteran get inside his head.

It could help deepen the tag-team division while strengthening Rhodes' run as the Intercontinental Champion.

More importantly, it could help him learn from a veteran and grow—and it could help Christian's career as well.

Having Rhodes by his side could help him to gain another title run, albeit one that he wins deceitfully.

It could help both of them become the biggest heels on SmackDown.

And wouldn't that be fun to watch?
