Breaking News: Kurt Angle Serious About WWE Return
All signs were that the new story line with Kurt Angle was about him wanting to join the WWE or go to MMA. I thought it was all storyline, since he is in a feud with TNA Founder Jeff Jarrett.
But it appears that Kurt Angle is serious about leaving TNA in the spring when his contract expires. He was rumored to want to go to MMA, but that looks unlikely only because he could make more money in the WWE.
Plus if he does do it, he could still be under contract with the WWE and take time off to do an MMA fight. That may be too hard on him since he is in his late 30s now.

However, Jason Powell of prowrestling.net found this bit of information out about Angle possibly going to the WWE:
"Kurt Angle has been telling people close to him that he is very seriously contemplating a return to WWE. He is reportedly frustrated with the creative direction that both he and TNA are following, and appears to have little faith in Jeff Jarrett's lead.
Angle's current contract is set to expire next fall, and at this point he would ditch his job with TNA and return to WWE if he could. Angle has spoken out about his concerns, most notably in the interview he did in the UK which sparked the TV feud between him and Jeff Jarrett.
Should Angle decide that he ultimately wants to return to WWE, it appears they would welcome him back despite anything negative he has said about working there in the past.
Vince McMahon has a long standing forgive and forget policy when it's good for business, and in the case of Kurt Angle there would be no hesitation on WWE's part to bring him back into the company.
He would most likely work a reduced schedule akin to The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels, which would alleviate the issues he had with WWE prior to his TNA debut."
This comes as no surprise if he were to return to the WWE to me. This is primarily because of McMahon’s aforementioned policy of “forgive and forget”.
This means Angle most likely would be a huge return and he would be in Main Event level matches once arriving to the WWE. If Christian Cage were to return, three former WWE stars who left for TNA would be back in the WWE.
The other is Gail Kim of course, who is already a WWE Diva and should be on WWE SmackDown within the next few months.
Back to Angle, he may currently be one of the best wrestlers in the world and TNA was lucky to acquire him when they did. Just as many wrestlers do, they seize an opportunity that looks good, but ends up not being as good as they thought.
Angle left the WWE because personally I think he was just tired; TNA leaves the state of Florida for PPVs mostly and possibly four or five times a month for other shows they do.
iMPACT is taped in Universal Studios in Orlando on Tuesdays and then it is shown on Thursdays on TV. Angle probably saw this as a good place to be to wind down a career or possibly have an easier job.
But as we all saw TNA has not done well, and WWE is still the main force in pro-wrestling today, a modern day Goliath if you will. (If you read the bible you would know that David slew Goliath.)
But be ready for history to be rewritten; David will lose to Goliath this time around. Many of B/R's wrestling writers have complained about TNA and their lack of good storylines.
On top of that, they hardly ever show any of their homegrown talent. This new storyline with the Front Line and the Main Event Mafia is helping the cause, but not too much. In fact probably TNA's best star for a long time tried out for the WWE first.
AJ Styles preferred the WWE, Vince saw talent in him and decided to let him win in his debut. Then he leaves the WWE, mainly because he was not contractually obligated and joins TNA.
TNA is where former WWE stars go to die. Christian Cage, Kurt Angle, and Gail Kim are starting to realize that. I think it took them too long.
TNA does show a promise of getting an easy schedule, fame quicker, and more success if you leave the WWE to go there. The reason is that popularity helps you. Jarrett knows that of course.
So he makes you champion in hopes to get more popularity to TNA. Now he realizes that it isn't helping, and TNA is still not doing well, even with the former WWE stars.
If Kurt Angle is smart he will get out, if not he will go down with TNA. But what do you think; will Angle go to the WWE?
