Frank McCourt: Dodgers Owner Scaring off Mark Cuban with Ridiculous Price
Mark Cuban would be a great owner for the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Unfortunately, it seems that Frank McCourt, the current owner of the team who is in financial ruin, has affixed a price that is far too inflated for Cuban’s liking.
McCourt is apparently seeking between $1 and $1.2 billion for the team, a price far higher than the $800 million Forbes valued the team, stadium and land at.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
Cuban has been trying to own a baseball team for quite some time now and made an offer in Bankruptcy Court for the Texas Rangers, but was beat out by a group of investors led by Nolan Ryan.
The outspoken Dallas Mavericks owner used his experiences from that venture and related it to his current desire to purchase the Dodgers.
""I don't think the Dodgers franchise is worth twice what the Rangers are worth," Cuban said.
"Once the sale price gets too high, you can't invest in the team.”
"
One of the things that McCourt is hoping for when selling the team is that the television contract that Bud Selig rejected, valuated at $3 billion from FOX Sports, is included in the considered factors for potential buyers.
However Cuban realizes that the deal isn’t concrete and also could not be used to help the team, which is an exercise in lavish spending in a league that does not currently have a salary cap.
""I don't want to be in a position to have a lot of debt," he said. "Those would be dollars that could not be used to put together a winning team."
"
Cuban is known for his desire to have the team he owns be a winner. The Dallas Mavericks have not had a single losing season since he bought them and finally won their first NBA Championship in franchise history this year.
Hopefully for Dodgers fans, McCourt lowers his outstandingly high price to something that Cuban would feel is worth it and he leads them back to greatness.
