NFL Power Rankings Week 9: Teams We Must Give Up on
For a few teams, the season is halfway done. For every other team in the league, it will be halfway done after Sunday or Monday.
Yes, plenty of season still remains—but that's not always a good thing. If a team is bad enough, we can judge what we're going to get for the remainder of the season based on what we've seen thus far.
That doesn't apply to all teams, but it does apply to these teams. They all sit either in the playoffs, or right on the brink, but that's not going to last long at all.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Dallas Cowboys
Is all hope really lost in Dallas? Well, Sunday night's game couldn't have done a lot to instill optimism. The Cowboys were outplayed in every possible way.
Their back-half schedule gets a little easier, but this is just not a consistent enough team to think it can make a run from 3-4.
The problem is not just Tony Romo. He's not always consistent, but that applies to the whole team. Dallas will spend another offseason wondering what the team needs to do to restore its past glory.
San Diego Chargers
Here's the problem, Chargers fans. I know you were in position to win on Monday night. I know Philip Rivers muffed a snap, which in all likelihood turned a win into a loss. But it's always something.
The Chargers have done this for the last two seasons, and their second-half schedule is brutal.
They are capable of beating any team in the league, no exceptions. The problem is there isn't a single team in the NFL the Chargers can take for granted. If they don't stop making big mistakes, they will never get any better.
Don't look for that to happen this year.
Washington Redskins
Where do we start with this team? Actually, it's pretty easy. The Redskins have no offensive firepower anymore. Aside from a good pass rush, there is very little to suggest this team has any future this season.
They started the season well, but have been nothing short of abysmal since. Don't look for that to change any time soon. It will be another long second half in Washington.
