WWE Rumors: Evan Bourne to Wrestle Tonight at the Smackdown Tapings?

As most know by now, WWE suspended Evan Bourne today for 30 days. It is for his first violation of the company's Wellness Program.

Now, as we saw last night, Air Boom lost a non-title tag team match to Wade Barrett and Cody Rhodes. As most saw on Smackdown last week, Air Boom lost another non-title match to Awesome Truth.

Things clearly were not looking good for Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne. With today's big news, we now know why. Evan Bourne was suspended for 30 days, thus being off the road/TV for a month.

However, this rumor may play into some things that are still to come for Mr. Bourne. Apparently, Air Boom are expected to drop the tag team titles tonight at the Smackdown taping in North Carolina.

Let me stress it is just a rumor. The tapings have not begun yet, and the show will air Friday night.

My thoughts on this whole situation?

Air Boom need to drop the straps. I would guess that Awesome Truth get the win, adding intrigue to the match at Survivor Series and making the two look good in the process. WWE could certainly go a completely different route, but that makes the most sense.

As for the entire debate on whether Bourne should wrestle one more match before leaving? I am fine with it because he has a title. If not, I wouldn't want him on TV again for 30 days.

For those keeping track, I also was against Sin Cara returning early from his suspension earlier this year. Thirty days is 30 days.

Sadly, this will put a big black mark on the "tag team revival" many had hoped for. However, Bourne will bounce back from this. Again, a Wellness failure is bad, but it is not the end of the world for a talent in WWE.

As for now? Air Boom just got Air Doomed!
