Kim Kardashian Reggie Bush: Why a Reunion Will Never Happen

With socialite Kim Kardashian ready to end her 72-day marriage with NBA player Kris Humphries, there has been plenty of speculation with regards to the reasoning. One popular notion has been that Kim is still in love with former beau and current Miami Dolphins running back Reggie Bush.

This certainly hasn't been confirmed by a reliable source, but perhaps it has some merit. Even so, there is simply no way the two of them can make it work after striking out last time around. One of the biggest deciding factors in Kim's divorce was conflicting schedules.

While the NBA is currently in a lockout, his job requires him to be on the road for large chunks of then year. The same is true of Bush, although Kim may be more willing to move to the beaches of Miami than she was moving to Humphries' home base of Minnesota.

Even so, Kim has simply been unable to make things work with athletes. She has an affinity for them, but her relationships with Humphries, Bush, Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Miles Austin and possibly others have all failed to this point.

I think Kim's celebrity has a ton to do with it. Professional athletes are used to being the center off attention, but if they're involved with Kardashian, then they're viewed as little more than Kim Kardashian's significant other.

To be honest, Kim would probably be best off trying a relationship with a regular person. Not only would it show that she isn't superficial as many may believe, but I think it might actually have a shot at working since the guy wouldn't have an ego about being upstaged by the reality star.

For whatever reason, though, Kim insists on getting involved with men who are in the public eye already. Her and Bush getting back together would be a dream come true for the tabloids, and whether Kim admits it, many of her decisions seem to be her playing to the tabloids.

From an entertainment perspective, a Kardashian/Bush reunion would be pure gold, but for the two of them as people, it simply doesn't make sense. Kim seems difficult and Bush doesn't seem to be able to handle that well, so I think they would both be best served by going their separate ways permanently.
