Philip Rivers Video: Watch San Diego Chargers QBs Worst Day Ever
Philip Rivers lost control of the football and with that, his teams’ control of the AFC West.
Rivers screwed up a guaranteed win for the San Diego Chargers over the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday night with a botched snap that KC recovered.
The fumbled snap was to set up a surefire winning field goal as the play happened on a first down at the Kansas City 15-yard line with the game tied and the game clock at less than a minute.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Rivers seriously needed to just take a knee at that point and the only thing he could have done to screw this up was to fumble the snap. And that is exactly what he did.
The game went into overtime and Rivers once again had a chance to redeem himself but instead fumbled it deep in their own territory and was unable to convert the 3rd-and-18 that ensued that blunder.
Kansas City received the punt, drove the ball nicely and won on a field goal.
Chargers fans have to be wondering what on earth is wrong with Rivers this season.
Rivers threw for 4,710 yards, 30 touchdowns and 13 interceptions last season but so far through eight weeks in 2011 he has just 2,084 yards, seven touchdowns and 11 interceptions. He also fumbled five times this season compared to just four last year.
It’s obvious that there is something wrong with Philip this season because he has not been the quarterback we have seen since he took over the starting job five years ago.
He also let the Kansas City Chiefs right back into the wide-open AFC West race. The Chargers, Chiefs and Raiders are all now sitting at 4-3 and any of them could win this division.
Now the Chargers have little time to prepare to play the red-hot Green Bay Packers, who have been resting during their bye week, and I do not expect them to even provide a challenge.
It wouldn’t surprise me to see the Chargers miss the playoffs again with the way Rivers has played this season.
