NFL Picks Week 9: Teams That Will Rebound After Big Losses

Michael MillNov 1, 2011

There were a bunch of surprises last weekend in the National Football League.

Many top tier teams suffered stunning losses at the midway point through the season.

The winners will look to gain momentum after the upsets and the losers look to rebound after the big losses.

Here are three teams that lost last week that will rebound with wins in Week 9.

New England Patriots

In one week the Patriots went from the Super Bowl favorite in the AFC to being questioned about if they were even the best team in the AFC East.

The Steelers exposed the Patriots' passing defense in the process of taking the top spot in the AFC.

After the loss, New England players were clearly upset with the way that things turned out.

This week they will need to rebound against a New York Giants team that has been inconsistent all year.

Tom Brady won't have as hard of a time throwing against the New York secondary.

New Orleans Saints

It's really difficult to get a read on this New Orleans team right now.

A week after embarrassing the Colts on Monday Night Football, the winless St. Louis Rams took them out to get their first win.

A few weeks ago the Saints lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who have been just as inconsistent.

This week those two teams face off again.

Don't expect the Buccaneers to come out on top again. This is a Saints team that plays much better at home, which is where they will be this weekend.

Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys were embarrassed on Sunday Night Football by the Philadelphia Eagles.

They couldn't get anything going on offenses, and their defense couldn't do a thing to stop Michael Vick and company.

It would have been less embarrassing if they hadn't talked so much trash before the game.

The Cowboys get an easy rebound game this weekend against the Seattle Seahawks. They need to capitalize and walk away with a win if they want to stay in the NFC East race.
