WWE Wrestlemania Breaking News: Matches, Appearances, and More
With The Road to Wrestlemania only one month away, Wrestlemania fever is catching on. Wrestlers have pitched match ideas, and appearances have been rumored for former superstar returns.
Stone Cold Steve Austin is said to be going to Wrestlemania's 25th anniversary. But even though it was rumored that there would be a Hulk Hogan vs. Stone Cold matchup, it looks unlikely to happen.
The WWE says that Hogan may make an appearance, but I am hearing he won't be in a match. Despite his daughter Brooke Hogan saying that he was getting in shape for a possible return.

The WWE says: "They don't need him." It could be in retaliation for Hogan's Celebrity Championship Wrestling show in which Vince McMahon was quoted saying that "Hogan is killing kayfabe."
McMahon said that wrestling was staged a long time ago, and now he comes out and says that Hogan exposed it? That is dumb by any standard.
Hogan is a Hall of Famer in the WWE. I feel that they need him to be at the event because Hogan basically made the pay-per-view what it is.
The WWE has grown leaps and bounds since then, but shutting out Hogan from the 25th anniversary is crazy to me.
Also, rapper Eminem is rumored to be at the event along with a few other big musical artists yet to be named.
Shawn Michaels pitched the idea to the creative team and McMahon about a possible HBK/Undertaker matchup. Even though it was rumored to be happening by this site along with others, HBK just now asked about it. The feeling of course is that the Undertaker will win, but it would be a great match to have at the 25th anniversary of the PPV.
In related news, HBK is discussing the possibility of leaving in about one year. But Taker says he will continue fighting full-time in the WWE for about another year or two. He could follow Sting or Mick Foley and wrestle on selected events, possibly part-time if needed.
We have been hearing for about a month now that Christian Cage will be coming to the WWE. If he were to sign within the next few weeks he'd he able to compete at Wrestlemania.
Along with Edge, Cage has been in some epic TLC matches, and won them all at Wrestlemania. Cage is still yet to lose a tag team or one-on-one match at the PPV.
It is doubtful that Cage will fight in another TLC match because of the Money in the Bank match the WWE has been putting on for a while now. But I could see him making a surprise return in that match.
The WWE could do as it does every year and make others qualify and then have one spot open. They could make him a surprise appearance in that match. But that is just one idea.
What I am hearing is that if Cage were to be back at Wrestlemania it would interfere in Edge's fight. But that is only a rumor for now. I should learn more when Wrestlemania is closer.
As we know the WWE has a diva in Playboy magazine every year now around Wrestlemania time. Kelly Kelly had been asked but she declined. This has left the WWE with a vacancy as to who the diva will be.
A few that have been mentioned are Eve Torres, Maryse, both the Bella Twins, or a former playmate, possibly Candice Michelle. Since Maria did it last year it looks unlikely that she will return.
Kelly Kelly as I mentioned declined, but the WWE could pay her a good bit to do it, and I wouldn't blame her for taking the money. With this being the 25th anniversary of Wrestlemania I am sure they want the diva to be special and a future star.
Because it's the 25th anniversary I imagine that former WWE Superstars will be involved. It is not certain yet who or how many will be there, but I am sure there will be a significant amount.
How do you think the event is shaping up so far?
