WWE News: Maryse Gets Wished Best of Luck in Her "Future Endeavors"

And another one bites the dust.

WWE Diva Maryse, real name Maryse Ouellet, was released by the WWE today. 

A quick newsstory on WWE.com simply said:

WWE has come to terms on the release of WWE Raw Diva Maryse as of today, October 28, 2011. WWE wishes Maryse the best in all of her future endeavors.

"

Maryse last appeared on WWE NXT in June when she spurned the affections of Hornswoggle.  On August 24th, she under went surgery for a abdominal hernia.   She was scheduled to be back on TV soon, but it's apparent the WWE had other plans.

The Diva noted on her Twitter account:

I'M OUT and sexier than ever! Thanks to all my fans, colleagues and @WWE Universe. Time to party! "Release" party tonight at @trousdale LA

"

Ultimately, the options for the former Diva aren't limited to TNA or ROH.  She has done some modeling in the past and has a degree in Business Administration.  I'll update with more information once it's available.

Update: There are conflicting reports as to the nature of her release.  Wrestling Observer, via wrestlinginc.com, noted:

Before everyone gets all worked up and blames WWE, it should be noted that the early word going around on the release of Maryse is that she requested it but that's not confirmed. Maryse noted on Twitter that she was going out to have a "release" party tonight at club Trousdale in Hollywood and her boyfriend WWE Superstar The Miz added that he would be joining her.

However, PWinsider noted to that the release was a company decision, but that Maryse wasn't shedding any tears over it.  

This might be one of the situations where the overall cause may not be known.  It'll be interesting to see if and how this would effect The Miz, as Meltzer noted that he is her boyfriend. 

It's doubtful that the former WWE Champion will get the "John Morrison" treatment. Though as with all things involving the WWE, stranger things have happened.
