WWE: Unimpressive Wrestlers WWE Needs to Cut Its Losses on

David LevinOct 31, 2011

Are we going to challenge or question every call made by the WWE?

Letting Maryse go? What were they thinking?

Chris Masters and Harry Smith? There should have been more let go like them.

Melina? She was becoming a cancer in the locker room?

Potentially seeing John Morrison take a walk when his contract is up could really come back to haunt this company.

At least we can say Gail Kim left on her own terms.

The WWE has so many stars and so many things going on right now that the talent is not being used properly—and some not at all.

Why not cut the fat? Why not leave it so more are getting a fair share?

Back in the day, the wrestling promotions worked with about 30 quality stars. Now, because of the lack of territories and promotions, the numbers are larger and the talent is weaker.

Something has to give. And jumping from brand to brand does not help.

So, in order to make things "better" in the WWE and with their talent roster, here are wrestlers who I think are unimpressive right now and could take their talents elsewhere.

Some names might surprise you.

Curt Hawkins and Tyler Reks

I do not see them making that much of an impact right now.

Both are lower-level wrestlers to begin with in the organization, and the only way they can move up is through the tag-team ranks.

But if you have noticed lately, that has not been much of a successful part of Raw or SmackDown.

Tyson Kidd

I like him, I just don't know what to do with him.

Many of the wrestlers like Kidd are in a hollow state of nothing, because the big names in the business are taking center stage and there are older veterans who have stolen the spotlight.

Kidd could do well in ROH or TNA as a cruiserweight.

Daniel Bryan

Wow, has the shine on his star fallen off fast.

He owns a MITB win and a contract, and he is waiting for WrestleMania to use it—or so he says.

I thought Bryan would get more exposure and more matches against big-time opponents in an effort to
"relieve" himself of his contract.

No such luck.

If he took a heel turn and had more of a personality, he would be dynamite.

Who?

Honestly, I have not seen him in some time, and I am still wondering what he is doing on the roster.

Cut the fat.

Kevin Nash

5 of 14

I realize this will not happen, but if there is not a connection between Nash and a conspiracy soon or a changing of the guard, then he needs to go.

He and the Awesome Truth are doing their best nWo impersonation, coming out of the stands or the back to beat up superstars.

It has to come to a head soon.

This is just ridiculous.

Hornswoggle

He has no place in the company where another big name could come in and make a difference.

Besides, I was never keen on the midget-wrestling to begin with, and all this guy is happens to be a prop.

Jinder Mahal

Khali is gone. And this guy cannot move up the ladder in either brand.

I know there are preliminary "acts" to wrestling.

Maybe he falls into this category.

Alex Riley

He turns face against The Miz and looks good for a few months and then gets lost in the shuffle.

His talents need to go to TNA. He would be a star there.

He has no upward mobility here.

Trent Barretta

Another one of those guys who are lost in the shuffle.

Tag-team action may be the only way to go for this guy.

Yoshi Tatsu

A preliminary act. Nothing more.

Like others, I am surprised he is still around.

Drew McIntyre

This one pains me.

Great look. Great skills and the ability to maybe become a world champion.

When I first saw him, I instantly thought "Barry Windham."

He has become Kendall Windham, with no future in the WWE.

Wade Barrrett

His flame burnt out way too fast.

A big man with great mic skills.

What more could you ask for?

He led the Nexus and was a contender for gold.

And now he is nothing.

Ezekiel Jackson

13 of 14

He was the Intercontinental Champion.

That used to mean something.

Now, he is an afterthought.

Very sad.

David Otunga

HE NEEDS TO GO.

I am tired of seeing him on screen with the "law school bit" and his smug look.

He has no place in Christian's new "Coalition" and needs to crawl away.

As fast as he can.
