Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Well, one of those guys is definitely going to be starting this week and the other might just be playing because of an ankle injury to Matt Stafford.
All eyes will be on Tim Tebow in his second start this season as the Broncos look to send the Lions on a three-game skid and win their second straight game.
Matthew Stafford may not play and Jahvid Best almost certainly will be sitting for the Lions, which makes this a very tough matchup.
Keep reading to find out everything you need to know about this game.
Where: Sports Authority Field at Mile High, Denver, CO
When: Sunday, Oct. 30 at 4:05 p.m. EDT
Watch: FOX
Listen: 97.1 The Ticket – DET, 850 KOA - DEN
Betting Line: Denver Broncos +3 (via ScoresAndOdds)
What's At Stake?
The Lions need to stop their two-game slide now if they want to make the playoffs for the first time since 1999.
Denver needs to continue winning with Tim Tebow to prove he was worth a first-round draft choice last season.
Both teams have a lot at stake and it is certainly not a game either side will take lightly.
Lions Injury Report (via CBSSports.com)
QB Matthew Stafford–QST (Ankle)– Stafford suffered a "weird" ankle sprain at the tail end of the Lions loss to the Atlanta Falcons. He is limited in practice and Shaun Hill is taking starters’ reps.
RB Jahvid Best–DBT (Concussion)– Best is prone to concussions and this is the latest one in his short career. He may be out quite a while and certainly should miss this Week 8 game.
Broncos Injury Report (via CBSSports.com)
RB Willis McGahee–DBT (Hand)– McGahee had surgery done on his finger Monday and is likely going to miss one to two weeks. Knowshon Moreno will get more touches.
DL Elvis Dumervil-? (Ankle)– Dumervil had to leave after spraining his ankle against the Dolphins. He has not been the same player since 2009 when he recorded 17 sacks.
Fantasy Start 'Em, Sit 'Em and Sleeper
Start ‘Em: Tim Tebow
Tebow is an excellent fantasy choice. His ability as a dual-threat quarterback makes for an intriguing matchup, as he should be able to score on the ground and through the air.
The Lions have yet to face a QB like Tebow and I think they’ll struggle to contain him.
Sit ‘Em: Matt Stafford
Keep Stafford on your bench for now. Opposing quarterbacks torch the Broncos, which makes Stafford an amazing option if he is healthy.
Unfortunately, it looks like he won’t be playing on Sunday as of right now.
Sleeper: Shaun Hill
For the same reasons that Stafford would be a great play, Hill should be a solid sleeper this week.
If Hill ends up starting, expect them to throw the ball a good amount since Jahvid Best sitting out.
What They're Saying
Jim Schwartz told Carlos Monarrez of the Detroit Free Press that he felt Lions’ running game as actually pretty decent without Best.
""I think there were a couple things that were positive out of the run game," Schwartz said. "We didn't have lost-yardage runs. A few games we were suffering with those: first-and-10 and all of a sudden it was second-and-12 or second-and-11 and second-and-13. We had some consistency to at least get positive yards: 1, 2, 3 yards.”
"
Jeff Legwold at The Denver Post believes that Knowshon Moreno is competing for a future with his organization just like Tim Tebow. He writes,
"This football regime for the Broncos is looking for keepers, trying to decide which of the few Mike Shanahan draft picks will remain with the team moving forward and which of the Josh McDaniels draft picks still on the roster will be in the plan beyond what happens for the remainder of this season.
So, in that light, what happens over the next month or so could be an important set of games for one Knowshon Moreno.
"
Lions Player to Watch: Calvin Johnson
Wide receivers burn the Broncos and Megatron has proved he can get it done with anyone throwing him the rock.
He’s an absolute monster with Stafford, but just watch how good he can still be if Shaun Hill ends up under center this week.
Broncos Player to Watch: Tim Tebow
No surprise here. All eyes will continue to be on Tim Tebow this season as he tries to prove doubters wrong and impress his massive fanbase.
Let’s see how he handles this beastly Lions’ pass rush.
Key Matchup: Lions pass rush vs. Tim Tebow
If the Lions can consistently get in the backfield and bring Tebow down, the Broncos have no chance at winning.
If Tebow proves he can evade the rush and make plays with his feet, the Broncos have a chance at pulling the upset.
Prediction: Lions 23 – Broncos 21
