NFL Week 8 Picks: Which Teams Will Lose Handily?
There are a number of lopsided matchups in the NFL this week, and three teams look like they will be on the losing end.
The Arizona Cardinals are practically staring a rabid dog in the face, traveling to Baltimore to take on the Ravens, a team so thoroughly embarrassed on Monday Night Football at the hands of the Jacksonville Jaguars that they're certainly out to prove they're still one of the toughest teams in the league.
And they're going to do that by playing an aggressive game against the weak Cardinals, a team near the bottom of the rankings in both offense and defense. On the other hand, while the Ravens have struggled to produce on offense lately, they still have the top defense in the league.

Which does not bode well for the Cardinals' chances when it comes to gaining meaningful yardage, either on the air or on the ground. Playing a good team in their home stadium is one thing, but doing so while they're angry is even less fun.
The Jaguars aren't going to take whatever momentum they gained from defeating the Ravens in Week 7 and win a second consecutive game this Sunday, however, as they take on the Houston Texans. The Texans are pulling away as the strongest team in the AFC South, and they'll put that on display this Sunday.
Jacksonville has a surprisingly strong defense, but the Texans have far more weapons at their offense's disposal, and a better quarterback, than the Ravens. The Jaguars won't have the gift of poor play bestowed upon them by their opponent this week.
The Washington Redskins certainly got whatever the opposite of a gift is last Sunday, with injuries befalling a number of their starters, some of whom are now out for the season. That certainly does them no favors as they take on the Buffalo Bills, fresh off of their bye week.
While Washington's defense is quite capable, they haven't made much of an impact in the past few weeks. Now they're up against one of the league's top-five offenses, while the Redskins' own offense is in serious trouble.
It's hard to imagine this being a close contest: A fresh team that has spent all season in the top of the rankings versus a team rapidly declining and plagued with injuries is quite the mismatch.
