Brian Wilson MC Hammer Video: Watch Ed Lee's Star-Studded Political Ad
Until today, I had no idea that there was a mayoral election coming up in San Francisco. This despite the fact I make my home in the East Bay.
But thanks to the above video, I am now well aware that there is a mayoral election coming up. And if I didn't know any better, I'd say that incumbent candidate Ed Lee is too legit to quit.
This is because there's no better way to drive this message home than to have San Francisco Giants closer Brian Wilson deliver it while wearing a pair of parachute pants. Not to be outdone, Bay Area rap legend MC Hammer, former San Francisco 49ers great Ronnie Lott and 49ers owner Jed York are also featured.

Some dude named will.i.am also shows up, but nobody cares about him.
Beyond telling you who's in the video, I'm finding that I'm incapable of saying much else about it. This is a video that is a little too out there for rational analysis.
About all I can say is that it's clear now that Brian Wilson will endorse just about anything if you ask him to. He also apparently doesn't mind if his "Fear the Beard" slogan is reworded into "Fear the Mustache" and used for political purposes. I suppose that's his right.
It's a funny video, but there are some even funnier wrinkles surrounding it. Like, for example, the accusations of voter fraud that have been directed at the Lee campaign. FoxNews.com claims that Lee's supporters are being accused of illegally handling vote-by-mail ballots.
Brian Wilson? Parachute pants? Voter fraud?
Suddenly, my brain hurts.
