Chicago Bears and the 3 Most Confusing Teams in the NFL
Every NFL season there are those that are maddeningly difficult to figure out, whether it be because of inconsistency or the lack of a true identity.
The Chicago Bears went 2-3 to start the season and were supposed to have one of the worst offensive lines in football, but they just won two straight games and allowed a mere three sacks in the process against the Minnesota Vikings and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Now we don't know what to think.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Here are three teams that currently have us scratching our heads.
3. Houston Texans (4-3)
The Texans looked like they were destined to win the AFC South when they won three of their first four games this season, but then they lost two straight games against the Oakland Raiders and Baltimore Ravens (getting blown out by the Ravens).
Although the Titans are a less talented team, they looked like a more solid squad than the Texans coming into the two teams' Week 7 matchup.
All the Texans did was blow out the Titans, 41-7, in Tennessee.
The Texans have a wealth of talent (complete with offseason additions Johnathan Joseph, Danieal Manning and J.J. Watt) and they rank well in several key areas, but they've been so inconsistent this season it's hard to judge who they really are.
This is a team that could blow out the Titans and then lose to the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 8. You just never know with the Texans.
2. New York Jets (4-3)
How do the Jets play ugly for the last four weeks and then all of a sudden drop the San Diego Chargers?
Not only that, receiver Plaxico Burress had a whopping three touchdown catches against the Chargers' solid secondary in Week 7.
Not only that, the constant disappointment that Shonn Greene has been decided to rush for 112 yards on 20 carries against the Chargers.
We already know the Jets heavily rely on their defense (specifically their secondary), but this team will only go as far as Greene and quarterback Mark Sanchez can take them. Seven weeks into the season, Greene and Sanchez are still hard to label.
1. Chicago Bears (4-3)
How does a team that was getting blitzed for weeks all the way back to Week 1 of the preseason all of a sudden give up just three sacks, including one sack to the formidable Vikings pass rush?
I simply do not know.
Rookie offensive tackle Gabe Carimi could be a good one, but the rest of the O-line still concerns me. Yet, the O-line has simply stepped up in the last two games.
On top of that, a defense that had appeared to take a step back has woken up, limiting Vikings star running back Adrian Peterson to 39 rushing yards in Week 6 and forcing Buccaneers quarterback Josh Freeman into four interceptions in Week 7.
And there's always the issue with quarterback Jay Cutler, who is maddeningly inconsistent this season.
Will the Bears come out of their Week 8 bye red-hot or will they revert back to their early season form?
Are the Bears who we thought they were? Not even Dennis Green would be able to answer that question right now.
