NFL Power Rankings: Dolphins and the Top 5 Andrew Luck Suitors
Goodness gracious, it is Week 8 and we still have three winless teams.
Two of those winless teams are more than interested in drafting Stanford star quarterback Andrew Luck. And if the the third team, the St. Louis Rams, "earn" the No. 1 pick, then it will be an auction for the ages.
The "Suck for Luck" race continues and it is only going to get better as the year goes on.
Here are the top contenders for the nation's No. 1 prospect.
5. Philadelphia Eagles (2-4)
1 of 5I will continue this charade until the Eagles have one more win.
The long-term future of this organization cannot rest solely in the hands of Michael Vick. Not only is he supremely inconsistent, but his durability is a major issue.
The Eagles are one of five teams with only two wins on the season.
If they bottom out and something happens with Andy Reid, there is no reason to pass on Andrew Luck.
4. Arizona Cardinals (1-6)
2 of 5Is the Kevin Kolb era really going to work?
The Cardinals have a number of other issues and gave up a lot to bring Kevin Kolb to the desert, but this wouldn't be the first time a team was wrong on Kolb.
Or at least gives up on him.
If the Cardinals have a shot at Luck and can find a suitor for Kolb, why not make the deal?
They have only one win and there is no telling if they're going to get another one.
3. St. Louis Rams (0-6)
3 of 5AUCTION! AUCTION! AUCTION!
This is best-case scenario for every team with a quarterback need and too many wins to land No. 1. Whoever wants Andrew Luck the most will get him.
Except for an NFC West team of course.
2. Indianapolis Colts (0-7)
4 of 5This is too easy.
The next Peyton Manning replacing the Peyton Manning is dream come true.
Before the Colts get that opportunity, they need to live a nightmare. They are horrendous and they have a legitimate shot at going 0-16.
Passing on Luck would be a mistake if they have the opportunity.
1. Miami Dolphins (0-6)
5 of 5Will Andrew Luck want to play for the Miami Dolphins?
I don't know the answer to that yet.
But this franchise has been looking for a replacement for Dan Marino for far too long now. The Dolphins had their best chance to get a win this week at home and saw Tim Tebow push them even closer to Andrew Luck.
Just embrace it, Miami. Luck is the best opportunity you'll ever get.
