WWE Raw Results: Top 10 Moments from Last Night's Show

Justin WatryOct 25, 2011

WWE Raw last night was a good show.

It did not feature too many memorable moments, but it did its job on the way to Survivor Series. With my perfect predictions from Sunday night now in the rear view mirror, I was ready to see what was next on Monday night.

WWE booked Vengeance to near perfection, and I enjoyed every bit of it. Going into Raw, I was a little anxious to see how The Rock's return would be handled and how the Muppets would be promoted. Let's dive in and see...

10. Alicia Fox Is Next?

1 of 10

Alicia Fox is great. She really is. It is too bad many fans cannot see her greatness.

Last night, she got a sneaky win over Nattie. I would assume that puts her in line for a title match against Beth Phoenix.

There are not many divas left to take on Beth Phoenix, so WWE has to keep lining up faces for her to feud with. I am more than excited for Ms. Fox to get another opportunity to show off her skills. I have spoken of my affinity for Fox before, but her chances of beating Beth for the title?

Um...yeah...okay...

9. Ziggler Wins a Match

2 of 10

It may not seem like much, but it was cool to see. Ziggler beat Santino in quick fashion to further establish himself as a player on the Red Brand.

A win is a win is a win, right? It wasn't against a top contender or anything, but winning is usually better than losing.

Congrats to Dolph on yet another win!

8. Del Rio and Punk Feuding?

3 of 10

I am going to be honest. I am not very excited about this feud. Most are probably expecting Punk to get the title at the end of this run, and they are probably right.

However, we have seen Alberto Del Rio and CM Punk interact with each other way too much as of late for me to care. As they mentioned on Raw, how many times have they fought on Raw recently?

Now I am supposed to care about them facing each other at one of the biggest shows of the year?

I am fine with it, but I am not too excited.

7. Morrison Loses...Again!

4 of 10

Great win for Wade Barrett! He looked like a star, and he got time to show his skills to the Raw audience.

As for his opponent? Same ol' stuff there. I am not even going to mention the end because I may have a heart attack ranting over it... it's such a shame that some guys can't change.

For further explanation on this match I am going to quote WWE.com here:

"Wade Barrett made one thing perfectly clear after he stomped John Morrison — his resurrection had begun...Tonight’s destruction of The Prince of Parkour assured that he’s headed in the right direction."

6. Cool Tag Team Match

5 of 10

Sheamus and Randy Orton defeated Cody Rhodes and Christian. Yet again, WWE put over Sheamus, and it was the right move. It was also a great match, so it was fun to watch.

Christian can lose for the next month and he will be fine. Cody is the Intercontinental Champion, so he can recover just fine from a loss. Nice job all around!

Randy Orton continues to have a great 2011.

5. Zack Ryder Doesn't Belong

6 of 10

He continues to come off like a mid-card comedy act.

Sorry, but that's just the way it is. I wish him all the luck in the world, but his "gimmick" does nothing for me. Just like John Morrison, if it isn't going to change, I am not going to care.

Ryder was set to team with Cena in the main event to take on The Miz and R-Truth, but I had a feeling that wouldn't really happen. As usual, he was "marking out" when he was told he had a match. Yeah, that screams main event!

Sorry, he needs some kind of "tweak" before I can really invest into him.

4. Triple H and Kevin Nash Fight

7 of 10

I didn't mind their feud in 2003, but it was pretty bad. It happened, and then it ended. No harm, no foul in my mind.

However, are these really going to feud in 2011?

I am positive 99 percent of the time, but I am not looking forward to this. I am sure the matches will be fine, but I can't say I am excited.

As of now, these two had a great night. Kevin Nash attacked Triple H and sent him to the hospital.

It's a good start, but where they go from here is anybody's guess...

3. The Muppets Are Coming!

8 of 10

This going to be one of the best Raw episodes of all time. I can just feel it.

I am big fan of the Muppets, and them interacting with WWE is only going to be better. Seriously, who can't wait to see what they are going to do on the "Halloween edition" of Monday Night Raw?

The possibilities are endless, and I am ready for it.

Let the hate roll in for the Muppets, but I don't care. I like to be positive and smiling when watching pro wrestling. While Twitter will be filled with hateful comments towards the Muppets next week, I will be sitting back enjoying myself.

2. Cena Chooses the Rock

9 of 10

As expected, John Cena vs. Awesome Truth broke down pretty quickly. That match was never going to have a clean ending.

The real story came after the match. Cena and a partner of his choosing would face The Miz and Truth at Survivor Series. What a huge announcement...

Yes, we all knew it would be The Rock. Yes, commercials teased it all night. Yes, it was obvious, and I do not care one bit.

This was an epic moment, and it went exactly as I laid it out over the weekend. Miz and Truth destroy everyone. Cena needs help, and he asks one man for help!

The Rock is coming back...get ready!

1. No Mark Henry or Big Show

10 of 10

This was brilliant. The best moment on Raw was not having Mark Henry or Big Show appear.

After their epic clash at Vengeance, WWE was not going to throw them out there one day later. You want to see what happens next with these two men? You have to tune into WWE Smackdown on Friday night! Great move here...

Mark Henry continues to be the best man on WWE TV, while Big Show looks like a giant. Amazing commercial to hype these two up for the Blue Brand Friday night...I loved it!
