WWE Vengeance 2011 Results: Dolph Ziggler Is the Next Big WWE Superstar

His theme music says it the best, "I Am Perfection." Dolph Ziggler is quietly becoming one of the best WWE performers on their current roster.  

During last night’s pay-per-view, "Vengeance," Ziggler put on a classic tag team match, the likes wrestling fans have not seen since the days of Edge and Kurt Angle vs. Los Guerreros, during their Smackdown tag team series.  

After his near-perfect match—it wasn’t perfect due to a loss with his partner Jack Swagger to the team Air Boom—Ziggler defended his United States Championship against rising star Zack Ryder.  

While superstars normally complain if they have to wrestle in back-to-back matches, Ziggler took the challenge straight on and defeated Ryder, a YouTube sensation.  

Ziggler is getting a lot of respect from WWE management for his ability to work with lesser talent, who need help rising to the superstar level.  

Dolph’s latest work with WWE talent, Mason Ryan is one example. As Larry Csonka of 411mania.com notes, Ziggler is “getting strong reviews for his recent performances. The feeling is that he comes across like a star in interviews, and the fact that he was able to work on TV with Mason Ryan without exposing Ryan's weakness is a positive.” 

This is just a testament to Ziggler's hard work. He is showing that his original run as “Nicky” from the Spirit Squad wasn’t the only thing that the wrestler would be known for.  

It’s an easy thing for superstars to fall into, especially when they are given huge pushes with a group of wrestlers. The members of the Spirit Squad were instantly pushed into a segment with Triple H and Shawn Michaels, who were in the group Degeneration-X. 

After the feud was over, the star of the group was thought to be a wrestler named “Kenny”. Kenny flamed out, but Nicky became Dolph Ziggler—a new superstar with a new attitude was born. 

As Ziggler continues his ascent through the WWE ranks, he leads the new wave of wrestlers that will carry the brand into the next generation.

Ziggler has everything that a superstar could want.

He has the look, the promo skills, the championship gold and something that a lot of current Main Event talent has—the mat skills. 

Ziggler is perfection. It’s time for him to get his due at the top of the card, instead of the in the middle.
