NFL Power Rankings: Which Teams Have Yet to Truly Impress?
Other than the Green Bay Packers, no one has really truly impressed this season on a completely consistent basis. And even with the Packers, you could argue that they have yet to really be tested.
Anyway, here are four teams that have winning records, but still need to earn more reputable wins if they want any shot at contending for a Super Bowl.
Houston Texans (4-3)

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The Texans' biggest win right now is over Pittsburgh, and although they smashed the Titans in Tennessee, the only thing we learned from that game is that Tennessee is really that bad.
As for Houston, yes, they got a big divisional win without WR Andre Johnson. However, they still need to play more consistently. If they can win at Tampa Bay and then at Jacksonville in consecutive games (bye in between) without Johnson, that will be impressive.
That is, provided they also beat the Browns and Jaguars at home these next two weeks. Of this group, Houston is the best team, but they're not quite there just yet.
Pittsburgh Steelers (5-2)
The Steelers have yet to defeat a team with a winning record. They're best win came at home against the now 3-3 Tennessee Titans. However, the two losses were to formidable opponents in Houston and Baltimore, and both were on the road no less.
That said, Pittsburgh's next three games will be very telling, as they play host to New England and Baltimore in consecutive weeks and then play at Cincinnati just before the bye week.
If the Steelers can get out of that stretch at 2-1 or 3-0, that would be truly impressive, because their record would then be 7-3 or 8-2, thus prime position for another playoff berth.
Buffalo Bills (4-2)
The Bills may have beat the Pats at home, but for as much hype as they have, the loss to the Giants was devastating. Also, the home win over Oakland has lost some vindication, as the Raiders appear to be on the fritz.
And with two home games they should win against the Redskins and Jets, winning over the Cowboys in Week 10 at Dallas would be huge.
Buffalo is still on the fence in terms of how well they've really played, but a favorable remaining schedule definitely helps their playoff chances.
New York Giants (4-2)
Defeating the Bills at home was crucial, but the home loss to Seattle and the road loss to Washington really makes you question the Giants' consistency.
The NFC East is looking like it's only getting one playoff team this season, and New York has an extremely difficult schedule remaining.
If The Big Blue Wrecking Crew really wants to verify their playoff status and become an elite team in 2011. Going 3-2 against these five games will surely be impressive (at San Fran, at New England, at New Orleans, vs. Green Bay and at Dallas).
That's just half of what the Giants have left this regular season. Pretty difficult no question.
