WWE Vengeance 2011 Results: Kevin Nash's Return a Disaster in the Making

Adam WellsOct 24, 2011

In one of the least surprising finishes of the year, Kevin Nash made his triumphant return to WWE at Vengeance by costing Triple H and CM Punk their tag-team match against Miz and R-Truth.

Even though the Nash storyline post-SummerSlam was a complete and utter failure, at least now we can get some kind of resolution to all the angles that were brought up before he was fired last month.

There is no shortage of stories that WWE can choose to use with Nash, and based on the fact that he attacked Triple H, it would appear that his first order of business will be settling the score with his former best friend.

While that is not the direction that the storyline was originally supposed to go, at least I don’t think – and I would be willing to bet good money on that – it does make sense considering where things were left off.

If you recall, Triple H was the one who fired Nash back in September. He was tired of all the lies and the games that Nash was playing, so he sent him packing. Ironically, after Nash went away is right around the time that things started falling apart with the storytelling.

Of course, the person who gets left in the dark with this whole thing is CM Punk. Remember all the momentum that he had back in July, after Money In the Bank? That is gone now, because he is being used as a prop to make other wrestlers look better.

Any match that Nash is going to be in will be a disaster because he can’t move around anymore, but at least we can take some solace in the fact that WWE might actually follow through with a storyline that got started last month.

Those kinds of things don’t happen very often, so we have to take small victories whenever we can get them. Let’s just hope they don’t try to dilute this one with tales of text messages, bad promos and overexposure on television.
