Tim Tebow: Denver Broncos QB Set Up To Fail vs. Miami Dolphins
Tebow isn’t the prototypical pocket passer who’ll put up 200 to 300 yards through the air every Sunday, but he’s a winner, and that’s why the Denver Broncos are starting him under center in Week 6. He isn’t talented enough to put the Broncos on his back, though, and that’s what he’s being asked to do. There are so many factors that are playing against Tebow in his first start of the season against the Miami Dolphins.
First off, at the Dolphins' home field, Tebow and his Florida Gators national championship team will be honored at halftime. From the perspective of a Miami player, for the opposing quarterback to be made the center of attention by their own team, that has to be a slap in the face. Surrounded by Tebow jerseys, as former NFL head coach Bill Cowher noted in CBS’s pregame show, the Dolphins players will take it personally.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
With all eyes on T, the college football legend doesn’t have much help. His arsenal of weapons features names like Willis McGahee, Eric Decker, Eddie Royal and Daniel Fells. If it weren’t for Josh McDaniels and John Fox’s absurd trades, Tebow could be surrounded with Peyton Hillis, Brandon Marshall, Brandon Lloyd and Tony Scheffler.
That is a massive drop-off in talent. Considering that the Broncos have the 31st-ranked defense in terms of points per game in the entire league, Tebow will be forced to lead multiple touchdown drives surrounded by mediocrity.
In the first half against the Dolphins, unsurprisingly, his teammates haven’t given him much help. If it weren’t for two missed Matt Prater field goals and a Willis McGahee fumble, the Broncos would most likely be on top in South Beach.
Tebow has his glaring flaws, but his strengths are strong enough to lead a team to victory. That team though has to be better than what the Broncos are right now.
