Week 7 Fantasy Football Projections: Fred Davis Will Top TE Leaderboard
I'm guessing most people will read this and think to themselves, "why would I bench any of these guys?"
And you're right, you wouldn't bench any of these guys in standard leagues; this is more of a guide to good plays in salary cap leagues.
Here's a look at who will be atop the tight end leaderboards as Week 7 draws to a close.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
3. Jason Witten, Dallas Cowboys
Even with Dallas' two star wide receivers back to full health, Witten pulled in 48 yards and a touchdown last week versus New England. He has now scored in two straight and has put together a solid fantasy performance in every game this season.
His worst of the year was a six-catch, 60-yard week against the Redskins. Witten is about as consistent as they come for tight ends.
Now he has a cozy Week 7 matchup against the St. Louis Rams. Start him with confidence as he'll hit something like 80 yards and a touchdown.
2. Jimmy Graham, New Orleans Saints
Speaking of consistent, Graham has hit "Antonio Gates 2004-2010" status. There's no question whether you should start him or not. The only question is what receivers you put him over in a TE/WR flex spot; and the answer is a lot of them.
Graham has turned into Drew Brees' favorite weapon right next to Marques Colston. He returned to practice on Friday so you shouldn't worry about that questionable tag, either.
The former Miami basketball star has hit at least 100 yards in four straight games now and scored in three. The Colts won't be stopping Drew Brees anytime soon, and Graham will be big again. Think 100 yards and a touchdown.
1. Fred Davis, Washington Redskins
I love Fred Davis this week. If he doesn't go off against the Panthers I won't know what to believe anymore.
Davis has had a stellar season so far, pulling in 343 yards and a touchdown on 22 catches. That's all been with fellow tight end Chris Cooley in the lineup. Cooley is now out with a broken finger and Davis is officially the go-to guy.
On top of that, John Beck is stepping in at QB and Beck is going to be dumping the ball to the 6'4" Davis all night long.
If you need another reason, he's likely to be Washington's top red-zone threat.
I predict 125 yards a touchdown is coming—don't miss out on it.
