Mick Foley's Return to WWE Could Mark the Beginning of a New Era
Mick Foley's return to WWE may have been prematurely announced by the website with him hosting the Nov. 14 edition of Raw.
WWE had not announced his signing and Foley had not mentioned much recently except a few teasing comments, so this could have spilled the beans a little, but it still has a lot of people excited.
Foley could easily be the man Vince McMahon was referring to when he said they would get a new leader for Raw after Triple H did not work out.

Foley is by no means an active competitor who will be wrestling weekly matches, but his presence alone will excite fans.
Foley has more credibility amongst fans than some other legends due to his years of abuse to his body for the sake of entertaining the fans, as well as him being a poster boy for anyone who thinks it takes a certain look to be WWE champion.
Foley proved all you need to do is gain the love of the fans, and you will be successful.
He is coming in at a convenient moment as the buildup to Survivor Series will be starting soon, and the announcement was made a while back that The Rock and John Cena would team up to face someone.
Foley could play into this storyline as he has a long history with Rocky as both a friend as well as an enemy.
I don't care if he is being brought in as a stunt because it is a stunt that will work. People who are fans of Foley will tune in and people who don't like him probably won't turn the channel away simply because he is there.
This is a good move by WWE to bring him back as they are starting to gain more of an edge again. There is more profanity and threatening language being used on WWE TV as well, as more violence beginning to come back.
Even though it was heavily edited, Rhodes was still bleeding tons during a segment with Orton on SmackDown, the fact that they didn't stop it like they have in the past shows WWE is beginning to drift towards TV-14 again, even if they don't intend to fully make that leap.
I for one have grown used to seeing WWE be PG and I really do not feel like the lack of blood has done anything to hurt the product, but I do like the WWE taking risks.
I am wondering what kind of impact Linda McMahon's U.S. Senate campaign for 2012 will have on WWE programming. Last time she ran, it was clear WWE toned down a bit so she did not appear to support a company parents would automatically hate.
Foley could be just what the WWE needs. He is loved by fans and wrestlers alike and he could even end up being The Undertaker's final WrestleMania opponent.
We will just have to wait and see what kind of impact his return has.
