Week 7 Waiver Wire: Donald Brown and 3 Smart Adds
The fantasy football waiver wire is a well that never runs dry, with players breaking out every week, whether due to an injury to a starter or a poor performance from someone with high expectations. Considering the ever-evolving nature of an NFL team's roster, your fantasy roster likely experiences a number of shifts over the course of the season.
Whether you need to supplement your team or give it an entirely new identity, here are three players who can help you on your quest for victory in Week 7 and beyond.
RB Donald Brown, Indianapolis Colts (at New Orleans Saints)

Colts Release Kenny Moore

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Starting Colts running back Joseph Addai is likely to miss another week of action with a hamstring injury, and that means yet again Donald Brown will be getting the majority of carries against the Saints this Sunday.
Last week against the Bengals, Brown had five carries for 35 yards and a touchdown and two receptions for 16 yards. And while the Saints are a formidable opponent, that's mainly due to their high-powered offense. On defense, they're struggling, which will clearly benefit Brown this week.
A great deal of the NFL's best rushers are on a bye this week, and if you're still looking for a replacement for Fred Jackson, Ahmad Bradshaw, Frank Gore or LeSean McCoy in Week 7, Brown is one of the best waiver-wire options of the week.
TE Fred Davis, Washington Redskins (at Carolina Panthers)
Fred Davis was the Redskins' No. 1 passing target last week, with both Rex Grossman and John Beck keeping an eye on the tight end. With Chris Cooley still out with a broken finger, and Beck needing someone reliable to throw to, Davis is going to come up big this week and any week he's on the field.
Davis caught six passes for 95 yards against the Eagles last week, and the team travels to Carolina to face the Panthers this Sunday. Carolina is 28th overall in pass defense, and 29th against the tight end, which means that if there's a game in which Davis can beat last week's 95-yard total it's this one. Add him and start him.
WR Arrelious Benn, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (vs. Chicago Bears, in London)
If your league is deep and you're in a bind at wide receiver, the Buccaneers' Arrelious Benn is worth a look. Already on pace to blow out his 2010 statistics, he has 15 catches for 243 yards and two touchdowns so far this season, with three catches for 83 yards and a score in last week's win over the New Orleans Saints.
The issue with Benn is consistency—not just his own, but also that of his quarterback, Josh Freeman. If Freeman can get more comfortable on the field, he will have more time to get the ball to Benn, his deep-ball receiver.
If his reliability increases, he could be a worthwhile WR3 even in less-deep leagues. But, until that point, you can either pick up Benn now and stash him on your bench if you're in a 10-team league, or you can start him (with caution) immediately in a deeper league if you want to take a risk. Either way, expect to hear his name with more frequency as the season wears on.
