NFL Picks Week 7: Predicting Scores for Every Game

Ryan PhillipsOct 20, 2011

So far this season, several underdogs have jumped up and surprised favorites. That has made picking games really difficult, since, frankly, this year has been a bit crazy.

Here are my picks for Week 7.

Seattle Seahawks (2-3) at Cleveland Browns (2-3)

Mississippi Football

The Seahawks have wins over the Arizona Cardinals and New York Giants and the Browns have wins over the Indianapolis Colts and Miami Dolphins.

That's the only reason I'll pick Seattle to pull this one out.

Seattle 24, Cleveland 17

Atlanta Falcons (3-3) at Detroit Lions (5-1)

The Lions will bounce back after their close loss to the San Francisco 49ers in Week 6.

Detroit 34, Atlanta 30

Houston Texans (3-3) at Tennessee Titans (3-2)

The Texans are still trying to figure out how to win without Andre Johnson and Mario Williams. They won't find a solution this weekend as the Titans will win at home.

Tennessee 27, Houston 24

Denver Broncos (1-4) at Miami Dolphins (0-5)

Tim Tebow gets served up a terrible Dolphins team in his first start of the season. Expect the Broncos to roll and drop the Dolphins to 0-6.

Denver 24, Miami 14

San Diego Chargers (4-1) at New York Jets (3-3)

The Jets are struggling and the Chargers haven't been convincing in their four wins. Something tells me San Diego's defense will hold Mark Sanchez and company in check and Philip Rivers will lead the Chargers to a win.

San Diego 27, New York (Jets) 17

Chicago Bears (3-3) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-2)

The Buccaneers are riding high after beating the New Orleans Saints 26-20 in Week 6. They will continue to roll this weekend against the Bears.

Tampa Bay 28, Chicago 21

Washington Redskins (3-2) at Carolina Panthers (1-5)

Cam Newton and the Panthers will finally put things together and upset the Redskins at home this weekend.

Carolina 20, Washington 16

Kansas City Chiefs (2-3) at Oakland Raiders (4-2)

Carson Palmer's debut in Oakland may not go smoothly, but thanks to Darren McFadden, the Raiders should have enough to slip past the Chiefs.

Oakland 27, Kansas City 20

Pittsburgh Steelers (4-2) at Arizona Cardinals (1-4)

In a rematch of Super Bowl XLIII, the Steelers will come out on top again. Pittsburgh has been steadily improving, and the Cardinals have shown themselves to be a team with a ton of flaws.

Pittsburgh 28, Arizona 10

St. Louis Rams (0-5) at Dallas Cowboys (2-3)

The addition of Brandon Lloyd will make the Rams better, but don't expect an impact this weekend. Dallas will continue to confuse people with a solid performance on Sunday.

Dallas 31, St. Louis 17

Green Bay Packers (6-0) at Minnesota Vikings (1-5)

The Packers are the league's best team and the Vikings will be breaking in a rookie starting quarterback in Christian Ponder. Green Bay will make life tough for Ponder, and Aaron Rodgers will carve up Minnesota's secondary.

Green Bay 42, Minnesota 17

Indianapolis Colts (0-6) at New Orleans Saints (4-2)

The Saints will bounce back from their tough loss to the Bucs in Week 6 by blasting the hapless Colts.

New Orleans 34, Indianapolis 14

Baltimore Ravens (4-1) at Jacksonville Jaguars (1-5)

Jaguars rookie quarterback Blaine Gabbert will be running for his life from the Ravens defense. Baltimore will roll.

Baltimore 34, Jacksonville 10
