Week 7 Fantasy Football Start Em Sit Em: Tim Tebow and QBs Who Will Disappoint
This NFL season has unquestionably been all about the quarterback. For better or worse, we are seeing numbers being put up at historic levels by the men under center.
Whenever a team names a new starter at that position, it is news because fantasy players are greedier than the empty suits on Wall Street. We need all the toys to play with, and we don't want anyone else to have anything.
That is not to say that all of your pickups will be good ones. In fact, most of them will end up not working out. But you are still going to take the chance because of sheer morbid curiosity.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
We are here to warn you, though. There are a few quarterbacks starting in Week 7 who have favorable matchups, or have the name cache that you look for when scouring the waiver wire. Beware of false prophets. What looks good on the surface could end up burning you.
Here are three starting quarterbacks to avoid at all costs this week.
Tim Tebow, Denver Broncos
The moment that Broncos fans have been waiting on will not likely mean as much to fantasy owners. Tim Tebow is a fun player to watch, and he usually makes one play that makes you think that he has what it takes to be a star.
The problem is he is only starting a game for the fourth time in his career, and while his overall numbers have been impressive—997 total yards and 13 touchdowns—this is a different Broncos team than the one he played with last year.
The team just traded its best receiver, Brandon Lloyd, and the team surrounding Tebow is not very good. He might continue his streak of at least one terrific play, but he is not yet a fantasy starting quarterback.
Carson Palmer, Oakland Raiders
Logic and reason be damned, the Raiders are starting their prized acquisition this week. Carson Palmer has not played in the NFL since last January, so he is not going to come right in and have success right away.
Palmer has to learn the playbook, develop a rapport with the receivers and get into game shape in 96 hours. The odds of that happening are slim to none.
When the Raiders come back from their bye in Week 9, Palmer will be worth a look. But don’t start him against the Chiefs looking for big-time fantasy numbers.
Matt Moore, Miami Dolphins
Of the quarterbacks on this list, Matt Moore might be the one I have the most confidence in, though that is because of Denver’s defense being so bad than it is about his ability.
Moore had a good stretch as the Carolina Panthers quarterback in 2009—1,053 yards, eight touchdowns and a 61.6 completion percentage—but he has not been the same since. Perhaps he just had success in a small sample size and couldn't keep it going.
Whatever his reasons for falling off a cliff, even though he is facing a weak Denver defense on Sunday, you should not start him hoping to catch lightning in a bottle.
