WWE Vengeance 2011: Why Mark Henry Will Crush Big Show and Retain the Title

Giulio RomanoOct 20, 2011

The time for Vengeance is almost upon us.

Mark Henry, your World Heavyweight Champion, will make mince-meat out of the Big Show this Sunday and retain his long-deserved title. Though it will not be a squash match, it will not last beyond 10 minutes.

The World's Strongest Man has destroyed everyone in his path on his quest for the championship. He has been made to look strong and unshaken in the face of terror and not even the flames of hell (Kane) could stop him.

How many times in the last years have we had a "heel" champion who hasn't been made to look like a total coward?

It feels great to watch and it is wonderful to see your every day heroes, John Cena and Randy Orton for example, being pinned clean in the center of the ring. What that says is, they are not bigger than the business and must reacquaint themselves with humility.

Mark Henry is a WWE veteran. His time has come and it should be encouraged. There needs to be some stability somewhere in this whole mess. The last thing we need to see or have is another transitional champion.

What would be cool is if Henry passes through Big Show clean, Kane enters the feud and then the "WSM" destroys either both (Show and Kane) or every challenger at once (scramble match or four-way). That would make him one of the most powerful characters in recent history and elevate his career to a point where he can be proud enough to retire in the next few years.

Personally, I couldn't care less about Big Show's character right now. He is the guy who buried the entire Straightedge Society and Corre stables. He packs a meaner punch as a "heel" and this goody-goody act is just for the kiddies...meesa not a fan of that.

I hope Mark Henry retains the championship for another little while. NO LOSING BEFORE ROYAL RUMBLE! It is the minimum.

In a perfect world, I'd make him carry it into Miami on April 1st and give him his well-deserved WrestleMania moment. Win or lose, at least he would be on the card.

What do you think ladies and gentlemen...will Mark Henry retain? Who else will enter the Hall of Pain?

On Sunday night...there will be pain!
