Both of these teams have solid starting pitching and bullpens that have been shutting the door. They also have offenses that can score runs in bunches.

The Cardinals have the best pitcher in this series in Chris Carpenter. He is rested and ready to go for Game 1. This means he has a chance to pitch three times in this series, which is a huge advantage for St. Louis.

However, that is the only starting pitching advantage the Cardinals will enjoy. The rest of the matchups figure to be fairly even.

The Rangers have an edge in lineup. They have players that can produce 1-9 in the order. At any one time they have a number of players capable of hot streaks that can carry this team.

If the Rangers can steal one of the games where Carpenter starts, I expect them to win the Series.
