WWE: Should John Morrison Drop the "Prince of Parkour" Gimmick?

Rikki SollisOct 17, 2011

It has been well documented recently that John Morrison's current WWE contract is expiring. Unfortunately this has also coincided with a run of jobs to main event stars leading many JoMo fans to believe that his days in the WWE may be well and truly numbered.

Now before we jump to the conclusion that JoMo is destined to leave the WWE and undoubtedly become the new face of the X-Division in TNA, let's try and think how he could remain in the WWE.

John Morrison has enjoyed a great spell as the Prince of Parkour, becoming a really popular face among fans, becoming number one contender for the WWE Championship, participating in the Elimination Chamber match and even having a match at WrestleMania. Now it is time for him to move on.

Just a few months ago there was hope for John Morrison. It was thought that he would return from injury to seek revenge on R-Truth, the person that put him on the shelf. Unfortunately this feud was swept under the carpet very prematurely, and was never really given a chance to get going.

Since this time, Morrison has not engaged in another feud, and instead has been jobbing on pretty much a weekly basis.

The Prince of Parkour is stale, and if Morrison is to keep his place in the WWE, then WWE will need to change his gimmick, and maybe even consider turning him heel again.

I know that Raw is currently flooded with heels, but we all know that Morrison can play the narcissist and really draw some heat from crowds, so why not use this?

So how could he turn heel? In my opinion there is one person who could turn anyone heel, and that is Vickie Guerrero.

Morrison could be part of a double turn with Dolph Ziggler, where Morrison tries to dislodge Ziggler as Vickie's top guy, insisting that he is much more perfect that Ziggler could ever dream to be.

Members of the IWC have pointed out previously that Morrison's heel turn has been delayed because Ziggler already uses the narcissistic gimmick. Therefore, this would be the perfect opportunity to give them both a new direction.

This is of course one idea among many and I'm sure that most of you have your own ideas of how John Morrison's character could be made more relevant.

Do you think that John Morrison should remain in the WWE? Do you think a heel turn would get his career back on track? What do you think is the future of his character? Get commenting.
