Sam Bradford Injury: Assessing Fantasy Impact on Brandon Lloyd, Rams Offense
St. Louis Rams quarterback Sam Bradford injured his left ankle in Sunday's 24-3 loss to the Green Bay Packers, and X-rays came back negative. Today, Rams head coach Steve Spagnuolo has updated his signal-caller's status, saying that Bradford has a high ankle sprain and he is in a walking boot. The second-year quarterback's status for the team's Week 7 matchup with the Dallas Cowboys is doubtful.
If Bradford is sidelined for any amount of time, A.J. Feeley will take over at quarterback and that automatically changes everything offensively for the Rams.
While Bradford was slumping a bit this season, he hasn't been terrible. Through five games the Oklahoma product had completed 103 of 195 passes for 1,170 yards, with three touchdowns and two interceptions. Though his quarterback rating (72.0) and completion percentage (52.8) were both disappointing, Bradford hasn't had much to work with in the way of receiving talent.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The Rams attempted to change that on Monday, as they have reportedly acquired receiver Brandon Lloyd from the Broncos. Lloyd would have given Bradford a solid No. 1 target immediately, and the move would have boosted the fantasy status of both players. Now with Bradford out, don't expect Lloyd to score you many points. While Feeley is a solid veteran backup, he doesn't have the upside of Bradford.
Lloyd will have an easy transition to the Rams, as the team's offensive coordinator is Josh McDaniels, who was the receiver's head coach in Denver over the past two seasons. But with Bradford out, the Rams will likely lean heavily on running back Steven Jackson, which will send Lloyd's fantasy stock plummeting as long as the No. 1 pick from the 2010 NFL Draft is sidelined.
Jackson has played in four games this year, rushing 41 times for 220 yards and a touchdown. He also has eight catches for 48 yards and another score. He will likely see the ball a lot more with the team's starting quarterback sidelined, so expect him to be a solid fantasy play.
This past Sunday at Green Bay, Jackson rushed 18 times for 96 yards, while adding four catches for 29 more yards. For maybe the first time all season, the 28-year-old looked like himself after suffering a quad injury in Week 1.
If you own anyone other than Jackson on the Rams, sit them until Bradford is back. Things could be ugly in the passing game until then.
