Jaguars vs. Steelers: 4 Halftime Adjustments for Pittsburgh
Well, that went pretty well, now, didn't it?
Pittsburgh thoroughly dominated on both sides of the football in the first half, and the score shows it. Although a 14-point lead against a rookie quarterback seems like a lot, anything can happen in the NFL.
The Steelers can't afford to take their foot off the gas pedal in the second half. Here's four moves Pittsburgh should make to ensure a victory.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
1. More Pressure on Gabbert
On the first drive, Gabbert looked very comfortable early. Like, way too comfortable for a rookie QB against the Steelers. Since then, the Steelers have turned it up. Pittsburgh must continue to bring constant pressure and not let Gabbert set his feet in the pocket. The more he’s on the run, the more likely a turnover is.
2. Keep Feeding Mendenhall
Yes, Rashard has struggled most of this season. And yes, Redman and Dwyer filled in pretty damn well last week. But Mendenhall is the unquestioned No. 1 RB on this time, and Pittsburgh must continue to treat him as such. He’s been spectacular so far in this one. Mendenhall seems to get stronger as the game goes on. Expect a lot more touches for him in the second half.
3. Keep Up the Protection for Big Ben
Just like last week, Roethlisberger has had little or no pressure in the pocket. Usually, Ben doesn’t mind making plays on the run. But with his foot hurting, he can’t make the crazy plays he usually does. If the line keeps giving Ben this kind of time, the second half should be a lot like the first.
4. Stay Healthy
It might be a stretch to call this a key for the second half, but it’s way too important to leave off the list. Legursky went down in the first half, and Pittsburgh really can’t afford any more injuries on the offensive line. If the Steelers can manage to stay healthy in the second half, it’s a huge victory moving forward.
