WWE/TNA: 10 Wrestlers That Should Have Their Own Soap Opera
Many people have called the WWE simply a soap opera.
But let's face it: WWE is not quite that dramatic.
However, let's not take away from some stars.
They try their hardest to create drama not just in the ring but in their own lives.
Some of these wrestlers almost seem to want that spotlight upon them.
We have seen stars do everything from get arrested for drug possession to put their love life on national television.
These men have made their lives public knowledge to a level that they could have their own soap operas.
Let's look at the ten stars in WWE and TNA today who could easily have their own weekly soap opera.
Randy Orton
1 of 10Randy Orton has some serious issues he has to address.
His anger issues over the years have destroyed young careers and belittled veterans.
He has always had serious problems with showing respect as he insults both his peers and his superiors openly.
A Randy Orton soap opera would follow Orton as he deals with trying to show respect to everyone while trying to avoid steroid use.
He would also focus upon how he is treated in by others.
While he acts like the king of the world, Vince McMahon and the administration treat him as such regardless of the consequences.
Kurt Angle
2 of 10This is not entirely Kurt Angle's fault, but his life is filled with drama.
He has had to watch his former wife fall in love with one of his fellow workers, and he has allowed it all to be addressed on television.
He has know gotten engaged to a young model over fifteen years his junior.
He has been arrested for DUIs and been known for drug abuse.
Kurt Angle may be one of the best wrestlers in history, but he is not good at managing his personal life.
Vince McMahon
3 of 10Vince McMahon has not always had great success.
He has seen many projects fail and done some crazy things to gain publicity.
His obsessions have destroyed careers, and his anger has lead to him denying many people the respect they deserve for the work they have done.
McMahon has always been a man of great controversy, and it has hurt it him as much as helped him.
The Vince McMahon soap opera would look at how he deals with other people and even his own family in regards to his business decisions, and I am sure it would be a strange sight to see.
Sin Cara
4 of 10Do you want an interesting story?
How about the story of the rise and fall of the biggest star in Mexico?
Looking back at the rise of Mistico into prominence would be fun to watch, but better would be to look at the fall of this star.
How about looking at Sin Cara's attitude toward others and his difficulty finding his style in the biggest pro wrestling organization today?
Also, it could look into Sin Cara's decision to abuse illegal substances the moment he was becoming popular and dealing with almost being replaced.
Ric Flair
5 of 10The sad story of how money can destroy a legend.
A look at Ric Flair today would be powerful, but this is not the only way that one could look at the history of Flair.
Flair is a fountain of controversy.
He has had four wives, direct conflicts with his son, had conflicts with huge stars such as Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart, and Bruno Sammartino.
Ric Flair's entire gimmick was almost entirely stolen from Buddy Rogers.
He has had many legal issues throughout his career.
And then you get to his current situation where he cannot stop wrestling because he is in massive debt.
There are so many problems here that I am surprised it has not happened yet.
CM Punk
6 of 10CM Punk is arguably the best wrestler in the world today.
He has been so for years, but he is only know being given recognition for his abilitiy.
That is a compelling angle to start with, but there is a lot more there.
CM Punk is straight edge which has to lead to some great drama between him and others in the WWE.
Then you have the fact that CM Punk is the Casanova of WWE where he has the most varied list of former girlfriends in WWE. He apparently has the longest dating list of any current WWE star. He has dated everyone from Maria to apparently Lita to Beth Phoenix.
With the controversy, heat, and love interests galore, a CM Punk soap opera would be awesome but only if CM Punk played himself and got to say whatever he wanted because that is controversy in and of itself waiting to happen.
Jeff Hardy
7 of 10Well, this was an obvious one.
Many superstars have problems with substance abuse, but none have allowed it be presented on television the way Hardy did.
Jeff Hardy has been a repeat drug offender for years, and it has consumed his life.
Apparently only now did it finally hit him that he needs to change.
The story of Jeff Hardy and his relationship with many superstars due to his problems would be crazy television to be sure.
Rey Mysterio
8 of 10He may be small, but Rey Mysterio causes some big controversies all around him.
His size has held him back for years.
His friendships have propelled him to the top (Eddie Guerrero).
He has been a central figure in the steroid scandals in WWE.
He has been known to use politics to allow him to avoid losses.
The story of Rey Mysterio is a unique one that could be explored at great length.
Hulk Hogan
9 of 10It is surprising that this has not already happened.
Hulk Hogan has always had a strange family life.
He and his wife have divorced to get involved with much younger partners.
Hogan has always been a notoriously full of himself which has made him refuse to lose matches and let anyone succeed in his shadow.
It is all just a story of a horrible family man and media superstar.
The possibilities for showing off his life are endless.
Matt Hardy
10 of 10Okay, this is a bit of a cheat as he is no longer a signed star with either company, but is Matt Hardy not the star of this sort of exhibit?
Matt Hardy has lead a sad life.
He lost the "love of his life" to Edge, and it became a full blown scandal.
He has fought to hide his brother from the spotlight, and he was never given the respect he deserved for his loyalty.
It all caused him to turn to an emotionally unstable path where he tasers people and posts up every one of the small grievances in his life on YouTube.
This man wants the drama. I wouldn't surprised if he was campaigning to get his own soap opera.
That is how bad it has gotten for him.
As a whole, these stars need to find a way to get their personal lives in order as they are rife with controversy that no sane human being would want affecting them.
