Hulk Hogan: WWE Should Be Terrified by Hulkamania and TNA's Bound for Glory

Donald WoodOct 15, 2011

While many WWE fans and staff members have openly questioned the talent and direction of TNA Impact Wrestling, Hulk Hogan and the 2011 Bound for Glory card are enough to make even the most diehard WWE fan weary.

The WWE has put on nothing but subpar PPVs all year, and besides Money in the Bank, there isn’t much keeping TNA from blowing their competition right out of the water.

Even WrestleMania 27 wasn’tverry great, and the card that TNA is putting out for their biggest event would rival anything that WWE has tried to put out this year.

While Hulk Hogan has been the face of this PPV, hitting the media circuit promoting what could be his final match; this PPV has little-to-nothing to do with Hulkamania.

There will be a few old-school wrestling fans that watch this show just for the nostalgia pop, but the majority of the fans are seeing that match as just a gimmick and lowering their expectations to new lows.

If Sting and Hogan somehow put on even a mediocre performance, people will be shocked and Bound for Glory could mark the beginning of the rise to new heights for TNA.

With the possibility of TNA pushing the young guns now, there is chance that WWE will be stuck doing the same old thing while their biggest competition puts on the best PPV of the year.

The amount of talent on the card is amazing, but the key to this show will be the location in which TNA puts the show on.

As a Philadelphia native, I can say that there is no better city to watch a wrestling program than the City of Brotherly Love and that TNA made the right choice for their WrestleMania.

While Hulk Hogan will get his normal pop anywhere he goes, TNA has positioned themselves with matchups and gimmick matches to suit the original ECW/hardcore following that makes up the majority of Philadelphia wrestling fans.

With ECW, CZW, ROH and others beings staples of the Philadelphia area for years, TNA will have a packed house of rabid wrestling fans on their hands for the PPV and the result will be a wild show that wins over even the most skeptical fans.

Watch out WWE, here comes TNA via Philly.
