Fantasy Football Projections Week 6: Joe Flacco and 5 QBs Ready To Break Out
As we enter the meat of the NFL season, fantasy owners everywhere are scrambling to replace injured players and pick up over-performing talent while they still can.
Several productive quarterbacks are still free agents in many leagues and have been overlooked by fantasy owners through the season's first five weeks, but not anymore.
Join Bleacher Report as we take a closer look at five quarterbacks with a lot to offer your fantasy team in Week 6.
Andy Dalton (Cincinnati Bengals)
1 of 5Andy Dalton is only owned in about 10 percent of ESPN.com fantasy leagues, and that's a shame.
The rookie quarterback is facing off against the league's 20th-ranked pass defense in Indianapolis in Week 6, and is coming off a two-touchdown performance at Jacksonville last Sunday.
Dalton has accounted for 1,047 passing yards and six touchdowns in 2011, and consider this: The Colts have allowed eight touchdowns through the air this season while only intercepting the opposition three times all year.
Rex Grossman (Washington Redskins)
2 of 5Although Rex Grossman and the Redskins are taking on the NFL's 11th-best pass defense on Sunday, that same Philadelphia Eagles defense has allowed 11 touchdowns through the air, second-most in the NFL.
Grossman has thrown for at least one touchdown in every game this season and has passed for more than 250 yards in three out of four games.
The former Florida Gator is only owned in about one out of every five ESPN.com fantasy leagues.
Joe Flacco (Baltimore Ravens)
3 of 5Joe Flacco is coming off a bye week and before that his worst game of the 2011 season, in which he accounted for just 163 yards, an interception and a fumble.
The fourth-year starter is owned in nearly every ESPN.com fantasy league but has seen some decline over the past few weeks after lighting up the Rams on the road for 389 yards and three touchdowns back in Week 3.
Flacco will suit up at home in Week 6 to take on the 10th-ranked pass defense of the Houston Texans.
Donovan McNabb (Minnesota Vikings)
4 of 5Donovan McNabb and the Minnesota Vikings finally got a win last week, and now they look to find their groove on the road at rival Chicago on Sunday night.
McNabb has thrown for just four touchdowns in 2011, but consider that Chicago's 28th-ranked pass defense has already allowed nine touchdowns through the air in just five games.
The veteran quarterback will have plenty of shots in Week 6 to redeem himself for the poor play early on.
McNabb is owned in only one out of every three ESPN.com fantasy leagues.
Colt McCoy (Cleveland Browns)
5 of 5As the Cleveland Browns look to keep pace with the Ravens, Steelers and Bengals in the AFC North, quarterback Colt McCoy will have to be the guy to get it done.
McCoy and the Browns are coming off a bye week and before that a tough loss to the Titans in which McCoy threw for 350 yards.
The former Texas Longhorn signal-caller is only owned in about one out of every four ESPN.com fantasy leagues, but should see that figure increase as he's suiting up against the 30th-ranked Oakland Raiders pass defense in Week 6.
