NFL Picks Week 6: Green Bay Packers and 5 Favorites You Can Count on
Being a favorite to win your matchup during any given week in the NFL isn't a guarantee that you will win, but it's definitely a showing of good faith in your favor.
Not every favorite will go out and win though, so if you're a betting man (or woman), you have to be careful about always choosing the favorite.
That being said, there are some teams that you just know will win. Granted there is the "any given Sunday theory," but these matchups are just so clear cut that you can almost guarantee a win before the teams step on the field.
Here are five teams that you can count on in Week 6:
5. Pittsburgh Steelers
1 of 5The Steelers haven't been their normal-selves this year, but Jacksonville shouldn't give them any trouble.
Offensively the Steelers beat the Jaguars in just about every category besides rushing yards, and defensively their veteran crew is going to have a field-day with rookie quarterback Blaine Gabbert.
Add in home field advantage, and that's a done deal in my book.
4. Cincinnati Bengals
2 of 5I never thought the Bengals would be favored against the Indianapolis Colts, but without Peyton Manning the Colts really stand no chance on the road.
The Bengals are right in the thick of things in the AFC North with a 3-2 record, and even though rookie quarterback Andy Dalton isn't incredible with six touchdowns and five interceptions on the year, he is finding ways to win.
The Colts on the other-hand are 0-5 and are already looking ahead to the NFL draft.
3. Baltimore Ravens
3 of 5The Ravens have the beat up and discouraged Houston Texans coming into town, and everything about these two teams is pointing towards a Baltimore win.
The Ravens' defense seems to be growing more powerful with every week, and on the other side of the ball the Texans are without their star receiver and have been dealing with injuries all year.
Defensively, the Texans lost pass-rush extraordinaire Mario Williams, which will leave Joe Flacco plenty of time to carve their defense up.
2. Oakland Raiders
4 of 5The Raiders could be the underdog by 50 points in this game against the Cleveland Browns, and I still think they would win.
This is the first time the Raiders are back at home since losing long-time owner and NFL legend Al Davis.
The mood is going to be somber, electric and inspiring.
I'm not sure the Browns will know what hit them at the end of the game.
1. Green Bay Packers
5 of 5Aaron Rodgers and the Packers haven't missed a beat since getting into the playoffs and winning the Super Bowl in 2010.
They are 5-0 and shouldn't have trouble moving to 6-0 facing an 0-4 Rams team at Lambeau Field.
Home field advantage has returned to the frozen tundra.
