NFL Picks Week 6: Cam Newton and Rookies Who Will Explode
There's nothing like drafting a player and seeing him pay immediate dividends.
Several NFL teams have been more than pleased with their high draft picks and are making in-roads with the boost they provide.
Week 6 presents yet another opportunity for these rookies to make their mark on the football field and prove they belong in the big, bad NFL.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Here are three rookies who will dominate in Week 6.
3. A.J. Green, WR, Cincinnati Bengals
A.J. Green wasn't the most hyped wide receiver of the 2011 NFL Draft for nothing.
Green has some serious skills, and he's already proving it as a rookie matched up against some challenging secondaries.
Green has already had two 100-yard performances and caught three touchdown passes, but Week 5 may have been his best game of the season. Against the solid Jacksonville Jaguars secondary, Green caught five balls for 90 yards, including a 37-yard touchdown.
Green faces an average Colts secondary in Week 6, and the Bengals' offensive line should be able to give rookie QB Andy Dalton time to throw.
Look for another eye-opening performance from Green.
2. Victor Cruz, WR, New York Giants
Undrafted rookie Victor Cruz is like the Giants' personal party-crasher. The defense thinks it has everyone covered and then this no-name rookie burns them.
Cruz wasn't given much respect leading up to the 2011 NFL Draft, but he's starting to gain respect in a hurry. In the last three weeks, Cruz has racked up 369 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He had 110 yards and two touchdowns in Week 3 alone.
In Week 6, Cruz and the Giants (sounds like a movie) face the Buffalo Bills at home. The Bills may score a lot of points, but they also give up over 283 passing yards per game and have allowed 10 passing touchdowns.
Quarterback Eli Manning threw for 331 yards and three touchdowns in Week 5 and should find Cruz early and often.
1. Cam Newton, QB, Carolina Panthers
Cam Newton has surprised pretty much everyone but himself this season.
Headed into the draft, Newton was "inaccurate." After the draft, his deficiencies seem few and far between.
Through five games, Newton is averaging 322 passing yards per game and has accounted for 12 touchdowns (seven passing, five rushing). He was a big reason why the Panthers were actually leading the New Orleans Saints with less than six minutes remaining in their Week 5 matchup.
Newton faces an Atlanta Falcons secondary that gives up over 294 passing yards per game in Week 6. He should be able to rack up yards and points and once again prove he has what it takes in the National Football League.
