NFL Picks Week 6: Miami Dolphins and Teams That Will Win for Losing
Every year when the season starts to take shape we begin to hear grumblings from the fans of weaker teams that they want their team to begin to lose games.
Basically, the thought is that these teams aren't going to get anywhere near the playoffs, so it's better to go for a draft pick.
It makes some sense, going 6-10 gets you nowhere near the playoffs but won't put you in the running for an extremely high draft pick. When that happens, the season just seems lost.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Last week, Mike Berardino of the South Florida Sun Sentinel posted this article, detailing the decision that teams like the Dolphins are facing right now, with the "Suck for Luck" slogans going around NFL cities.
In there, you can see a rather interesting poll where the overwhelming amount of voters (theoretically Dolphins fans) said that they want the team to be really bad, and not just below average.
But I digress. Normally, I don't like that strategy. Fans pay good money to go to the games, they deserve the best efforts of their home teams. Additionally, contracts in the NFL are not guaranteed, so a team going in the tank can have a bad impact on the players.
Still, there are a few teams in the league that are just hopeless. But those teams are in games that they could win.
While the players should try as hard as they can, these are some teams that would be better suited to lose.
Miami Dolphins
The Jets are struggling right now. The Dolphins have the team in place that could give the Jets a tough game, or even beat them.
But the AFC East is a tall order this year, with both the Patriots and Bills sitting pretty at 4-1. It's extremely hard to see the Dolphins making any noise this year. A win against the Jets could really hurt them in the draft.
Indianapolis Colts
The Bengals are an interesting opponent. You wouldn't think the Colts would have much of a chance against a 3-2 team, but the Bengals have been far from dominant.
Still, the Colts are in need of a high draft pick this year. Assuming Peyton Manning even comes back next year, their window to win will be short.
A guy like Andrew Luck would be a great replacement for Manning. Even if they couldn't get Luck, another high draft pick would go a long way in helping the Colts make another run or two at the Super Bowl.
Minnesota Vikings
The Bears are good, but they are beatable. The Vikings still have a lot of pieces in place from their NFC Championship Game team of 2009.
But in the NFC North, it's nearly impossible to imagine the 1-4 Vikings catching the undefeated Packers and Lions. They also have three games remaining against those two teams.
Andrew Luck is not likely for the Vikings, who just drafted Christian Ponder.
Still, like the Colts, a nice run can be made with another key rookie.
