Are Shane and Stephanie McMahon Gradually Taking Over The WWE?

You have seen glimpses of it for years. The McMahons have been together in everything throughout the WWE. Stephanie has been a General Manager, Shane has been one, too. They have both been on camera and work well live.

If you remember, Shane and Stephanie did quite well in the Invasion storyline, where Shane bought WCW and Stephanie brought back ECW. They put them together to make the Alliance.

Probably one of the best story lines in all of professional wrestling history in my opinion. A few years ago Vince McMahon did a storyline in which he went to his limousine and it exploded, supposedly killing off his character.

At that time, Shane and Stephanie were supposed to do as they are now, sort of take over and control the WWE. They would be again as they are now, on camera and it would only be them and no Vince.

That sort of blew up in their faces with the Chris Benoit tragedy, and they were not able to do it, mainly because Vince came out and talked about Benoit's death on RAW a night after the Night of Champions PPV, then known as Vengeance.

He was supposed to be dead, and the storyline never worked. So this past year at the WWE draft, the WWE tried to get rid of Vince again. This time they did it with him still being alive but with something clearly falling on him for everyone to see Live.

It worked better because if a tragedy were to happen, they would still be able to do keep the storyline going. And that was a plus for them when the creative team thought up the storyline.

If you remember Vince McMahon, Sr. sold the WWF to Vince McMahon, Jr. I believe Vince will do the same for Shane and Stephanie. They both want the company and they both have done pretty much everything in the company to have the resume to own it.

As you know, Vince still owns the WWE, and may until the day he dies, but I feel he will sell the WWE to Shane and Stephanie if he feels that they do well this year by themselves, particularly around Wrestlemania 25 time

This will be a big test for them both. Stephanie may be running RAW right now, but Shane is still running everything off-screen. Vince is also doing off-screen work, being in announcers' ears and what not.

I'm sure Jim Ross and others can attest to that. But "when?" is the question we have to ask. When will Shane and Stephanie take over the WWE? Not "if," because it looks to be happening.

All the tools are in place, it is just a matter of time the way I see it. But what do you think? Should Vince sell the WWE to his children, Shane and Stephanie McMahon?
